If you're constantly burning your fingers with hot glue, I recommend getting silicone thimbles for the tips of your fingers. It insulates from the heat a bit and stops the hot glue from sticking to your actual fingers.

It would take me minimum 8 months to do half of one of her projects, but I also have adhd so I never really finish any projects I start 😅 So I’m just going go with magic, that’s how she does it, she exists in a magical dimension where time flows differently and for the fun of it she gifts us mere humans these videos to watch us marvel at her creations in awe.

“I don’t wanna be crazy complicated with this… because it *will* take a thousand years if I am,” was me last week when I bought a 4’ x 4’ sheet of cross-stitching fabric to make myself a hand-sewn “moss” rug…. and immediately cut it in half once I realized how much work that *actually* would be. I’ve already put about 10 hours into it (over four days) and it’s only like 8% done.

18:15 I love how this looks like something that a queen of a canabalistic cave-dwelling tribe would wear. Fresh out of a corpse, rosy with blood, carved to fit a Victorian queen (probably inspired by the corset of the one un-alived for this project) and then decorated with the rubies from the cave walls and pearls found on the body! Who said this doesn't have a story? we just made the first of many theories that the archaeologists/ anthropologists came up with when stumbling upon this decorative body piece!

Tip I just learned for working with hot glue! If you lick your finger before you touch the hot glue it will protect your finger from the heat and also the hot glue won't stick to your finger and pull away when you pull your hand away! It's super useful when you're trying to manipulate hot glue and smush it into the shape you want it. :)

Always fantastic to see more spooky projects and hear the word "worbla" an infinite number of time! Spooky movie recommendations: The Innocents (1961), Whatever Happened to Baby Jane (1962), The Haunting (1963), The Changeling (1980), Candyman (1992), Ravenous (1999), The Skeleton Key (2005), The Awakening (2011), You're Next (2011), The Invitation (2015)
