I'm so sorry, and I speaking from experience love!! Sadly I've died several times( various causes and suspects) I was reliving lovely moments of me life and this pop up. I'm so glad Char wasn't in this happy holiday production. Resuscitation can be habit froming. Addiction can be quite bazaar like believing you're a chair. ( silly bastards wouldn't you say! Uh oh)

Came for the nonsense, stayed for the bisexual, vegan shade. The trifle will definitely not be the worst thing you eat today. Edit: Cook's note; jam is made from a whole fruit base, jelly is made with fruit juice base. That's the difference.

You’re meant to pop the trifle in the fridge overnight so the lady fingers get soft. Just omit the mince and layer lady fingers, jam, and custard. Refrigerator overnight and top with whipped cream before serving. It’s a hit!

Haha our family trifle is "Tipsy Cake" and yes it has jam in it, we're dutch but I have no idea where it's from. You use the cake in the bottom, a layer of strawberry jam on that, not too much because it's strong and sprinkle on a sweet cherry liqeur (Maraschino I think in english) and then custard, a layer of amaretto cookies (the dutch version doesn't even translate) , custard and ladyfingers. Everything gets really soft after a while in the fridge. No beef and onions though, haha

Happy Christmas Eve morning from Vancouver Olympia. Genius idea. Looking gorgeous as always.
