I made The Box Bot

I had a cool little box and some Final Faction legs and thought it would be cool to build a little Box Bot. I also kitbashed some gundam parts for this custom build. It was a simple build but with a little paint and weathering he's a pretty cool Box Bot!
I hope you enjoy this toy customization kitbash video!

Yet another great model Dave. I think I will get some Final Factions legs and make my own. About the glue Dave is using... Model cement, like "extra thin" chemically welds the plastic. Since it melts the surface there is no need to sand first. Although you need to sand for the paint to stick anyway. Weld bond glues make a very strong joint but as Dave said, it only works on certain plastic. So test first, if a small drop does not make the plastic sticky it will not work. Then you'll need to scuff up the plastic and use CA or epoxy. Thanks keep them coming.

I like the music at the end of them as they fit what was made so well. I think of this robot running as explosions go off around it, Maybe it trips and falls and get back up and keeps running. I like to think lights come from the eyes. Maybe it is a robot that takes humans to safety or something. I think it would run really fast.

Curious as to how long it takes you to do your builds? Do you gather a crapload of bits and then weed through them? Or start with the “main idea” and then add as you go?

I spend on average 10-20 hours. I have bins and bins of bits.😂 Some would say hoarder.😂 I rarely plan ahead, I normally start digging through my bins and something comes to me. Once I have the idea in my head that’s what I go with. There are time I will find a toy at a yardsale or thrift store and know right away what I want it to be. I actually don’t know how or why my brain works this way…😂😂😂

I do have a video of my top five tools but that, not in there... it's call a pin vice, I got it on Amazon but the one I got came with some pretty cheep bits that dont work that great. Hope that helps. Cheers.
