i don't think this is accurate enough to learn something, i mean the size of the sun didn't even even change despite him changing the temperature drastically. And at some point the sun should not life longer than a few hours.

@@nikespen768 so that that doesn't happen, he locked the mass of the sun. He made it so that it doesn't make sense. If he didn't do that, the sun would've grown in size faster than anyone could see.

@@kettern4719 Yes he locked the mass which also means that the gravitational pressure inside the star stays the same, but the burning speed of the star scales withe the temperature to the power of (at least ) 4. This in turn means the star would if the pressure stays as is start burning drastically faster . This in turn produces more radiation and therefore beaks the equilibrium of radiative and gravitational pressure, letting the star expand.

The hotter something gets, the more excited it's electrons get. When the electrons get excited the start the rave. *a lot* When the electrons rave too hard, the escape the atoms they are attatched to. The element therefore, no longer exists, and the atoms turn into just protons and neutrons, and so it is now just particles.

the sun burns out so fast when you put it so hot because the math that determines how hot a star is is relative to its mass; the star being a smaller star burns through all of its energy very quickly and becomes a black dwarf by burning at the temperature of a star like sirius with such little mass. The star that burns twice as bright burns half as long. The sun will take 5 billion years or so they estimate before it runs out of fuel, but if you made it 5 billion times as hot, that energy would be spent in one 5 billionth the amount of time. That energy causes the gases to be expelled at speeds close to the speed of light as it is the death of a star, which is where your giant cloud of gas comes from. The particles eventually lose heat which causes them to slow down and eventually the surrounding gravity of the particles will cause them to cloud and form a nebula.

Gray and anyone who is curious, my theory is that when you put the sun so hot that it disappears, either its so hot that the game can't calculate it, or it burns through its "fuel" so to speak in its core that it just vanishes

I'm betting that the reason the sun straight up disappears at insanely high temperatures (7:56 and others) is that all of the mass of the sun is instantly converted into sparse particles. At temperatures as high as... oh, I don't know, 10000000000°C, I don't think even subatomic particles (protons and neutrons) can physically exist, so the game may have a failsafe to turn them into their substituents, quarks, a process that would just instantly fling them into space at near the speed of light. Picture a grenade, but instead of exploding into shrapnel, it explodes into light, and then somebody asks you to catch the light.

If you lock mass but increase temperature the sun will explode because the heat pressure exceeds the gravitational binding energy. Think of a balloon where the air pressure is heat and the elasticity of the rubber is gravity. If you blow up the balloon too much (turn the heat up) it'll pop. If you increase the elasticity (gravity) instead the balloon will deflate until the air pressure is high enough to match it again. Turn the elasticity (gravity) up too high and you get a black hole.
