"I Manmofo'na" is a Chamorro term meaning those who came first. the Latte stones are stone Megaliths of the Marianas islands that the ancient Chamorro people built before the arrival of Magellan and other Spanish/ European Seafarers. This documentary, released on television may 7, 2014, is a first in a series that covers the first stone builders and other ancient mysteries of the Marianas Archipelago.

Well done, but with misplaced emphasis on European explorers. Connections to the ships used by the voyaging peoples of Indonesia is vital to this story. Explanation of how the megaliths were moved from Rota's quarry to Guam and Tinian needs further explanation. Mention is not made of quarries outside of Rota, including the basalt quarries of Pohnpei. Thus, the origins and use of vessels capable of transporting latte stones moves to the forefront of this study, implying an ancient commerce in lithic technology, with ancient Indonesian mariners, as well as a practical explanation of how megaliths were moved from quarry site to the build site at Nan Madol, Guam, and Tinian. Furthermore, "value" in lithic commerce is understood when compared to the stone currency of Yap. And "value" is further understood when the function of latte stones is explained as a secure adaption to typhoon surge and rodent infestation. However, a sliding scale of "value" is additionally discovered when the stone crowns of Rapa Nui's megaliths are seen as abstractions separating Deity from terrestrial origins. Thus, there is a spiritual dimension to "lifting a people off the earth" which is in implied by the top crowns of megaliths on Rapa Nui. Thus, the elevation of community houses has both practical and spiritual function and is seen in centers of authority in the great-houses used by Pacific peoples of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. Only an ancient mariner could have introduced the idea of pillar and top crown across thousands of oceanic miles. Therefore, a close examination of the ancient Indonesian vessels is central to understanding the origins, spread, and application of latte stones.

During these times also of Migration phillipines were not a ethnicity. Indonesian Empire ruled south current phillipones Malaysian empire ruled upper present phillipines. Until Spain came gave phillipines their name. Chamorros were already seafaring and established Marianas from Guam to northern Islands.

During the chamorro migration according to Darwin central Eurasia was a melting pot for the beginning of all Asian people. During these times our ancestors migrated out of southest Indonesian. I donesians oldest temple has engravings of chamorro latte and canoes on it.

Before the ancient Chamorros used stone pillars, they first used wooden ones. But as they developed their belief of Fo'na and Pontan, they started using Latte stones instead, probably because Fo'na is said to have turned herself into stone

Compare the latte stones of Guam and Rota to the megaliths of Gobekli Tepe of Anatolia. Same shape same function.

Our ancestors came east across india, down through indonesia, south to Australia and at the same time, east across the philippines and throughout micronesia. did not stop till they hit south america. there are genetic relatives in south america. My wife got her DNA test done and she has genetic relatives in pakistan, india, philippines and fiji. we were especially surprised to find no spanish genetic markers.
