I used to be so afraid I’d “miss” God and His will that I’d be hesitant to step out or act upon what I was feeling led to do. I realized though that if I step out and miss it or blow it….He always finds me and steers me back in the right direction. I was even afraid to memorize Scripture, because I was worried I’d quote it wrong and ‘add’ to the Word of Truth. That was just a tactic of the enemy keeping me from the hiding His word in my heart. Thank you for your ministry.

i was fasting and praying for 3 days (i stopped yesterday due to frustrations) and i was really confused and upset cause im not sure what to do in my life right now and i was waiting for God to lead me to the next step and was worried about messing up Gods plan for me. God answered 2 (so far) of my prayers i had even tho i stopped fasting! He lead me to this video as well! i think He was just saying to relax and realize that He is in control not me. thank you Lord!

I feel you. It’s so difficult to talk about the Holy Spirit now adays because it’s so personal. I have humbling schizophrenia so that’s always a huge issue for me figuring out what is God. And two people could be going through the same thing…. And each will have a different understanding or pathway to understanding or symbols. Mine right now I have been seeing 🦋 since last summer when God softened my heart. You are wearing the them 🙂. So that is comforting. Thank you so much for your work. Trying to understand the Bible on my own with schizophrenia was terrifying, your work along with others really help make space for me work through some difficult stuff.

The way I heard in said before that was helpful is that “God knows every single choice you would make in any given situation, in any moment of time.” He has accounted for everything because He knows it’s so well and that’s what it means to be all knowing and sovereign!

I had those same types of "freak-outs" all during my teen years and into my 20s! What the Enemy meant for evil, God used for good because I drew closer to Him and He brought me through. Near the end, I learned it's call "scrupulosity." I call it "religious OCD." I would even wonder when I was doing something like just clicking a pen if I "clicked" too many times and needed to repent. And when I repented of various things I would wonder if I was really sorry, and so then I would repent because I was sorry that maybe I wasn't sorry! It was crazy and terrible but, again, God used it and turned it around for positive in my life (I had to really seek Him to get past all that worry). ...I am only 4 minutes into the video, but when Faith mentioned that it struck me so hard I just had to testify. God is so good!

Faith, thank you for this video. It is so encouraging that God is sovereign and I am not!! I can not mess up His plan. But He’s so loving and Good to allow us to participate.

Thank you for your wisdom on the Holy Spirit. You are a great example of how we all need to be ready to humble ourselves when we miss the mark. To know, really know, that God is Sovereign is a great comfort! I've been going through the motions lately and just recently started my prayer journal again. It is the ONE thing that I can confidently say has brought me joy, because I am spending time with Him. When I look back at my prayer journal it helps me see God working in my life even though many times it doesn't FEEL like He is. I am so glad I found your videos!

I am Catholic and loved this video! Especially when you mentioned the Glory of the Lord filling the Tabernacle! I think it's so cool to see the fulfillment of the Old Testament in the New Testament. You can feel the Spirit of God in the Tabernacle in a Catholic Church. It is truly Jesus, hidden in that Tabernacle!!! WOW!!

i think.......you should speak about these things at Christian conferences, youth group trips, Sunday + Wednesday night churches, passion events, and other things like that, i know you have a busy life with your family and all, but you really explain well and in an easy way to grasp the concept!

Thank you so much for this. You bringing up the presence of God’s glory as a cloud over the tabernacle was exactly what I needed to hear right now. I read that passage only a couple of weeks ago, but suddenly it made sense in my life. I’ve been feeling stuck and lost in life, kind of desperate for a way out of a long life crisis, and have been praying psalm 23:1-3 trying to find calm in God leading me to what I need (rest by calm waters) but really hoping and wanting for God to show me His way forward. And nothing. And when hearing you talk about the cloud showing when it was time to move and when to stay put just made it click in my brain and heart: God has not lifted His cloud yet, it is not yet time for Him to show me His way. He will, in His time. Right now His presence is still over me and telling me to stay put.

I have heard people say what you just said before... about not being able to mess up God's plan. I believe that nothing / no one is bigger than God, so they can not mess God up, however, I do also know that we can still completely live in sin, ignoring the truth, having it our way, and cause ourselves to miss His perfect will for our lives. If we do, it's not God's fault. He never leads us down wrong paths. We can't blame Him. We have to be obedient. We have to be willing to follow God's plan, which is His will, which is His word. Sometimes we might not know in full detail what the sum total of what His will is going to look like for us at the end of this life...until we arrive, but we can still know His voice so that we do not follow the stranger's voice and get led astray. Holy Spirit is there to lead us, but we must follow. He is not going to be pushy. He guides. He's not going to force us. We have to follow His guide. Studying His Word sheds light for us to see. At the same time, I don't believe we should live in anxiety over things, stressed out about messing up every little moment of the day, until we feel condemnation, overwhelmed, confused.... God is not the author of confusion. He's never willing for us to perish, so... God will lovingly convict us so that we will repent and have peace with God. The enemy condemns us causing us to be out of balance, and fretful. We must learn to lean on God, not our own understanding, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct our path. He gives clear direction even if only one step at a time. His ways are not our ways. So we must come over to His way, and walk in His path. Some people believe they can just live and do as they want to, sin, whatever... and in the end it will all be okay anyway, so no worries at all because it will all eventually be as God planned. There's a real issue with that line of thinking. There are evil people in the world, and they are not following God's plan when they commit evil acts, although some of them say... GOD TOLD ME TO... or they say...the devil made me do it. But they are probably not here watching your content. So... hopefully I did not confuse anyone with all of this. I honestly believe we won't be able to miss God "if" we faithfully follow Him.

Great idea for teaching. Yes, we are not powerful enough to mess up God’s ultimate plans. We often do make wrong choices that have negative effects on us and other people and do not line up with God and His Word. Many are fooled into thinking that crazy chaotic things bring glory to God because a false teacher throws God’s name in or says it is not them it is God doing the chaos they claim are miracles. How do we know if something really brings glory to God? It needs to line up with God’s Word, not a few Words or verses out of context. God is not the author of chaos. The devil is, and he fools a lot of people. He loves to sidetrack us in many ways, especially convincing us felling sand emotions are the Holy Spirit. 🙏🏼🙏🏼😘

My goodness I so have the same feelings of jealousy every day about what the people of the Bible saw with God and what Jesus’s disciples got to have by having Him with them!!!!

You are right there may be a C we have not thought of. 😊Who does not know the Holy Spirit has always been there?🧐 How do we “lean into” the Holy Spirit? 🧐 Does God tell us to talk to the Holt Sprit? 🧐 We can not mess up God’s will for our life? We often do. God’s will is for us to bring glory to Him and His name, trusting and obeying Him. None of us do that constantly. A lot of our questions are not the Holy Spirit. Our thoughts, feelings and emotions are often mapped by ourself, bad teachers or leaders, even the devil. If anything does not line up with God’s Word it is not the Holy Spirit. A few words or scripture out of context, or for a different time or situation or twisted is not the Holy Spirit. 🙏🏼🙏🏼😘

I've been thinking about God's voice recently and this video came at a great time and just what I needed. I can definetly overthink it. Even if I remember a verse my I can feel the attacks in my head saying "you're not forgiven" "you're not good enough" etc. So there is this battle in my mind and I have to keep remembering what God says. Heres some tips to help you discern God's voice better. The more you read the bible, the more helpful it is to know God's will, voice, direction, or guidance! This helped me alot when trying to see which is God's voice in my life Next, is there Jesus's peace or no Jesus's peace? Not the worldly peace but Jesus's peace in your heart. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:15 KJV The author of collosians said that its very good for the peace of Christ to rule our hearts, which is why the author said "let". (to those who were called in 1 body) Thank the Lord of lords! For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV may this bless others

I had a friend tell me that he heard voices but wasn't sure if they were the Spirit. I told him if he haspent time in the bible you would know how Jesus spoke and thought, The spirit will use Gods words and His ways.

I really know strongly at different times in my life God has spoken to me, I’ve been very open to it, and then certain times I’ve walked away. Well he’s back. My son is concerned, I can understand that. I know without a doubt it’s Him. The words come in a second, a flash, a while thought faster than a sentence could be said as a human. And it’s always personal to me, generally it’s something he wants me to do to work some muscle I’m terrible at, like inviting someone I’ve decided I don’t like to dinner. He told me that four times before I said FINE! Geez. See that man over there? (Husband) Don’t you have some things to work on him about? He’s moving me to have love and respect toward an elder I don’t have either for... yeah that I haven’t worked toward yet. I believe if I am hearing something I think is God it will always mesh with what I know to be true with scripture. It will not ask me to do things like get into a church that suggests money for salvation, that kind of thing.

It is possible for a person to step outside God's plan for their lives, even to make a shipwreck of their lives, when something within them urges to pursue their own way.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. Perfect timing for the Holy Spirit to bring this exact video into my feed. I’ve been thinking and wondering if ‘you’ aren’t a charismatic Christian believing in speaking in tongues, prophecy are gifts for today, Is there a will for your life. I spent my older teens and young 20s frustrated by the same things and were never taught how to go about it. I’m like maybe saying what’s your will for my life isn’t even biblical? Just some things I’ve been thinking about. The holy sport does lead me and does speak to me. If that makes sense, I’m trying to get it all to make sense to me! I have prayed and asked for guidance. I have never been able to tell the difference between the Holy Spirit talking to me and my own brain talking to me. The more I tried to convince myself, the more I just heard my own voice. I no longer believe there is a god to speak to. He didn't answer too many times.

I also saw that post (the one that says that you are not that powerful to mess His plan) what a very coincidence, no it's God sovereignty😜😊

How can we confirm what we’ve heard from the Holy Spirit, being from the Holy Spirit and not our own carnal minds/desires?

ohhh man...this video gave me the same anxiety you must have had in high school. Watching as many videos as i have of yours and not seeing much about the Holy Spirit, I kind of assumed where you stood in regards to him (whether fair or not). First of all: The Holy Spirit is a person, not an it. He is also emotional. He is God, and he deserves our worship. He must be viewed as God in our worship and prayer. I wonder how many people actually worship him, thank him, love him, honor him, seek after him, and talk to him like they'd talk to Jesus. He is worthy of our pursuit. He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him. I would encourage you and others to spend time not trying to pry information or direction out of him, but to actually spend time with him. Paul encourages us to have Fellowship with him. Every part of our Christian walk is heightened when our relationship with the Holy Spirit flourishes. Practicing the presence of God by Brother Lawrence is a wonderful, and short book, on a French monks walk with God, and it really shows how we can interact with the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. Over the last 2 years, I’ve really come to dislike how people distinguish (and even rank) what The Bible says vs. what The Holy Spirit says. It’s almost like The Word is not enough. I agree with hearing God in your walk, but I don’t agree with people talking about scripture as if it’s inferior to what a person hears from God. I used to be one of those people. But God is speaking through The Word and it is living and active. It’s not just a book. Finding the balance between hearing God and hearing God through The Word…

Why do people say "the" Holy Spirit instead of just Holy Spirit. I have never heard anyone say "the" Jesus or "the" God. If Holy Spirit is part of the trinity and equal to God and Jesus, then why is it referred to as "the"?

If you are not hearing the voice of God and learning scripture directly from Him then you probably do not possess the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ and realize that you cannot enter the kingdom of God unless you possess His Holy Spirit. God gave every true believer who possesses His Holy Spirit the ability to hear His voice and to go directly to Him with all of their questions and this especially applies where scripture and His truth are concerned. This is where testing the Spirits now comes into play since you cannot possibly hear the voice of God unless you truly possess God’s Holy Spirit and you are able to discern the spiritual voices that dwell inside your thoughts. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” 1 John 4:1-6 NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ ‬Many will read this above scripture and think that this is talking about an individual that you may encounter who is a preacher or whatever and that is totally incorrect since it is talking about testing the thoughts and questions that run through our minds because this is where the Spirit world exists. God is Spirit and if you have truly repented of your sins and you have accepted Jesus and His Holy Spirit into your life then His Spirit will now dwell inside of you. So realize that it is now possible for you to communicate directly with Jesus Christ in your Spirit since His Spirit and your Spirit are now united and they are one. This glorious blessing from God is available to every believer who has truly repented of their sins and who has not blasphemed the Spirit of truth. So if cannot discern the voice of God through testing the Spirits then you are definitely still living in sin and it is probably because you have not truly repented since you fell for the lies that are being related by the millions of false preachers that exist in this fallen world. You may also be someone who has blasphemed the Spirit of truth by choosing to relate a false gospel or by foolishly choosing to reject or deny God’s one and only truth upon hearing it. “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” 1 Corinthians 6:17 NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ ‬”Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭3:28-29‬ ‭ESV God has made it very clear to those of us who possess His Holy Spirit that every believer who has truly repented of their sins and who has sought to live a Holy and righteous through the guidance of His Holy Spirit can definitely hear His voice if they understand how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. So if you are not living a victorious life where you are learning how to overcome your sin and your sicknesses through the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ then you certainly are just one of the many sinful and deceived believers who have fallen for the devils lies and you probably do not possess the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ Everything with God requires that you must truly believe that it is possible in order to experience God’s blessings in your life so you certainly cannot doubt where hearing the voice of God is concerned. So if you doubt that testing the Spirits is possible or you choose to doubt what you may be hearing when testing the Spirits then the answers to your questions will either be all over the place or you may hear nothing at all since you are proving that you are a double minded person who does truly believe. Plus if you are someone who cannot hear the voice of God then you definitely do not possess His Holy Spirit and it is probably because you have not truly repented of your sins and you have not made knowing God the most important thing in your life. “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1:5-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” ‭‭John‬ ‭10:27‬ ‭NKJV “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Next, realize that you must be relaxed and at peace as far as testing the Spirits is concerned since your emotions can definitely effect what you are hearing in the Spirit world. Plus if you currently possess any kind of sickness in your life that may hamper your ability to hear the voice of God when testing the Spirits since you may not be relaxed and at peace in your Spirit because you might be more focused on your pain and your suffering. Now if you truly repented by desiring to no longer sin and you have asked God to bless you with His Holy Spirit but you are still struggling to hear his voice then this is where fasting and praying in tongues will help bring you more in tune with the Holy Spirit that dwells inside of you. Understand that every true believer who possesses the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ has the ability to speak in tongues but once again you must truly believe that you are able to do it and that God has now blessed you with this heavenly gift. Speaking in tongues is a spiritual inner voice where you are now allowing the Holy Spirit to speak directly to God on your behalf. When you pray in your regular mind or voice you will eventually run out of things to say but when you pray to God in your spiritual tongue you can now pray for as long as your heart desires. Realize that it will all be a mystery to you since you will have no idea what the Spirit is relating on your behalf and this is why it will require your faith. Plus when you are speaking in tongues it may actually sound like gibberish or a foreign language to you since you are not going to be able to understand what you are actually saying. Anyone who truly possesses the Holy Spirit can certainly pray in tongues so if you do not possess this blessing in your life then all you need to do is to ask God to help you. Just believe that God has answered your prayer and then allow yourself to try speaking in tongues the next time that you are alone in prayer. Simply try to allow the Spirit to speak through you and keep trying to do it until it comes to pass in your life. “For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Finally, understand that God is looking for us to go directly to Him with all of our questions and you will never be able to grow in the knowledge of God and the power of the Holy Spirit until you are able to understand how to ask God your questions through testing the Spirits. Realize that Jesus is our one and only teacher and every true believer can learn scripture directly from Him through testing the Spirits. So if you are believing the teachings of some preacher who has never been sanctified in truth by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ and who has never overcome sin and sickness in this lifetime then you are definitely following a minister of the devil who will only lead you astray. And if you truly desire to hear the voice of God but you do not understand how to test the Spirits then realize that I have a video and a writing that explains how it is done. “It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” ‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Lastly, understand that anyone who does not believe that it is possible to hear the voice of God and to learn scripture directly from Him or they do not believe that we can speak in tongues or they will not believe that we can overcome sin and sickness in this lifetime is definitely someone who is clearly proving that they do not possess the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. They are proving without a doubt how they are simply an unbelieving child of the devil who has no idea what scripture is even relating and they certainly do not belong to God.
