How to counter cheaters: Scout- Drink Bonk and taunt kill them with a Sandman or Atomizer. Or throw milk at them hoping your teammate kills him. Or just meatshot them if you have Vaccinator Medic. Soldier- Splash Damage is the best way to counter them, spam rockets at the floor. Also equip the Battalion's Backup for more health and when your rage meter is full, you can negate headshots and most damage. Pyro- Spam scorch shot, hoping he dies from afterburn. Or just charge him with the Dragon's Fury, deleting him if hes on fire. Demoman- Go Demoknight and turn that spinny boi into roadkill with your shield or your sword (Warning: Very Risky). Your pipes and stickies are lobbed in an arc, so you can shoot him with those if he doesnt see you. Heavy- Tomislav or Brass Beast (Tomi for fast deploy or Beast for Tanky and Powerful Damage). Cheaters sometimes charge their shots when they see an overhealed Heavy, so shotgun is a good choice, I recommend the Family Business or the Panic Attack. Equiping the Fist of Steel is a must Engineer- Hide behind your buildings and chip his health away with the Wrangler. Sniper- Bodyshot them with the Piss Rifle or Machina. Medic- If your pocket dies alot, equip the Overdose to run away, or you can take your chances and shoot him with the crossbow. Vaccinator is a must have against cheaters, but Stock or Kritzkrieg works as long as you hide. Spy- Deadringer and run to him, decloak and shoot him down with either the Enforcer or Ambassador. Taking on Script Kiddies is like taking down a Sentry, so have that mentality ~Eltnum

Seriously why do people use bots? What’s the benefit, you are literally broadcasting that you suck at the game and need a computer to help you.

Just a tip, the weapon u were using for demoman, the loch-and-load, will mess up your aim. It fires 20% faster than the regular grenade launcher a and it doesn't roll on the ground and explode. It's good for killing buildings though. U would probably be better using the stock, that means the one you started with, or learning how to sticky trap and sticky spam with the sticky bomb launcher because that is arguably the best weapon in the game Edit, the loch-and-load only holds 3 grenades to the stocks 4, that is a huge disadvantage as well

There are a lot of those bots lately, I have no idea why someone would enjoy using aimbot so much if you literally cant see anything but the sky spinning when hacking All you can do is ask the other team to kick the hackers

Hackers these days in tf2 are either named 1: Sydney 2: braaap 3:myg0t and royalhack 4: either an actual player thats hacking 5: mimic bots that change username to another person's so they can't be kicked easily

I feel like Harvest is one of those maps that are just Cheater/bot magnets. I've always seen at least one there. Another problem is these maps that are played for deathmatching, while popular, often don't have enough people to actually kick the bots.

In Team Fortress 2, you can use refined metal to craft hats if you dont know already. If I remember correctly, this can be done by: Items>Crafting>Uncommon>Fabricate Headgear/Headwear.

The stickybomb launcher (demo second weapon) its a gun that shoots this peculiar type of bombs that will not explode unless you die or you detonate them. This weapon is used in 3 ways: set up traps, putting more than one stickybomb, for esample in an angle or floor or ceiling that the enemy cannot see, and then detonated to kill them almost instantly. The second way is spamming them, by holding the detonating button while repeatedly shooting them in the general direction of the enemy, or predicting their movements and let their explosive radius do it's magic. The third one is the stickyjump, wich consist in a similar way to soldier rocket jump, but it's kinda more difficult to pull off. You put 1 or 2 stikyes on the ground (never more than 2, you will just blow up) and then place yourself around 1-2 centimeters away from the bombs. After that, Jump while crouching and then detonate them. You will be sent into the air at high velocity in the direction you where before exploding the stickyes. If you just want to get up in the air, explode the stickyes while you are basically above them (not recommended) to practice this useful use of the Weapon, there is a version of it specifically made to learn the technique, called Stickybomb Jumper (the soldier equivalent is the Rocket Jumper) To shoot stickyes, press mouse 1, hold it to launch them faster and further. Press m2 to detonate all of the stickies you placed instantly. You can have max 9 stickyes placed at the time (unless you use the quickiebomb launcher or the scottish resistance), hitscan weapons can destroy stickyes by shooting at them while pyro airblast and explosive weapons can push them away, but not destroy them. There is an hidden mechanism that makes stickyes more powerful if you detonate them after they stop blinking, so basically 1.5 seconds after you placed them/launched them out of your gun, meaning that most of the time 3 stickyes can make a trap powerful enough to blow up a fully overhealed heavy (450 HP). Hope this helps!

Just worth noting, it's less common to find bots/hackers if you use community servers rather than typical matchmaking.

This is pretty much every single casual match filled to the brim with bots with precious few people left to fight them off

There’s actually a KZfaq video of someone interviewing some people who use bots/hacks, to discover why they do it, and a very common response is that they like people’s reaction. They like it when people get angry. I feel like there’s a deeper reason, but that’s what a lot of them said.

When you find a hacker, make a bind saying something like "your team has a hacker, please kick him" to make a bind activate console comands and type "bind (key you want to bind) "(what you want to say)""

Welcome to the genuine team fortress 2 casual pub experience, get used to it since I don’t think this will change in the near future. (Also I believe queuing up with a full lobby increases your chance of coming across cheaters since they tend to queue up together to prevent a vote kick, and the game tends to put groups in matches with other groups)

Yeah, it honestly sucks that there are so many bots rn. One thing I learned from other videos is that when a Medic hooks up to you with the Vaccinator, the bot is sort of thrown off and won't shoot you. I had a bot in one match and I think a Medic using the Vaccinator still works, so that's probably why that Medic was following you around with one when you stepped outside

Here is a loadout for Heavy to resist the headshots from the BOTs (They will need 3 of them to kill you): Brass Beast, Dalokohs Bar and Fist of Steel. Before you're going to face a BOT, eat the Dalokohs Bar where they can't see you, then, use the Fists of Steel (or they will kill you easily) and then, kill them just at melee.

you can unlock more friend slots on steam by leveling up your steam profile. the way you level up your steam profile is by unlocking badges for games on steam, and the way to unlock badges on steam is to get a full set of trading cards for the game. the two ways you can get trading cards for games is by either playing the game, which should give you at least 3 cards, or by getting them from other people, whether it be trading or just buying it from them on the steam market. each level gives you 5 friend slots, and the cap for levels is so astronomically high that it's near impossible to get to it.

Hi, I am glad that you genuinely enjoy the game. Some people feel forced to play TF2 by its sometimes-domineering community. Never stop making the content that YOU want to make.

The way I deal with cheaters if I encounter them on my server: I wait 2-3 min for people to vote-kick them. If that doesn't happen, then I leave the server and find a new one.

You could give a community server a shot, there are significantly less cheaters on a well-regulated community server!

Yeah beware of bots, especially one known as "myg0t" because that one will also spam slurs and hate speech in the chat. Also if you ever do get genuinely good at playing sniper be prepared for salty people accusing you of being a bot, but I don't think you have to worry about that now.

Advice from another player, most bots are used in king of the hill maps and capture the flag (briefcase) maps, in another maps they usually get kicked in the first minutes, read the chat to know how that is going, sometimes its a little hard (takes some minutes of voting and re-voting) to do because some cheat stuff they have, if its more than 5 minutes or its obviously that they wont be kicked, just exit the match and look for another server (remember: "dont feed the troll"), dont worry, most of the community hate them too so its more probable that the bots get vote-kicked from the matches.

You’ll normally encounter bots. I suggest going through the Community Server lists and playing servers in there, but the issue is there’s so many servers and a lot of the servers are strange and weird.

I learned that if you have bot snipers, go Pyro and burn them to the ground, they can't and won't get rid of the fire

Sadly, that's something you're gonna have to get used to, to encounter from time to time.

If you don't want to keep the fish hat, or want to use your refined metal, you should check the two most popular TF2 Trading sites, Scrap.tf (sell/buy from auto-trade bots, auctions, raffles, ALL AUTOMATED) and Backpack.tf (create/check listings, buy from humans or a select few tradebots, negotiate trades, etc)

Yeah, thats...thats a problem. If bots dont get kick, just join another server. Valve is really stretching the patience of the community with the bots.

Bots are an annoyance, but usually they should be kicked out pretty fast unless the team they're on is a bunch of idiots. Hopefully you can enjoy the game even with that problem. I seriously hope Valve actually tries fixing it at some point, instead of crippling new players. On a side note, if you're suspicious about someone's aim as Sniper, the best way to check is if they can shoot an invisible Spy out of nowhere. It'll work most of the time. If they're really a problem though, the meme maps are usually safe, those being 2Fort and Hightower. The people are cool but due to the gamemodes not having time limits the rounds can last forever. Got into a 5 hour long game of 2Fort yesterday, but practically no bots.

Vaccinator and Battalions Backup are good counters to aimbot but people don't like working together Ie wait in spawn to build uber or to push when the banners activated.
