Could not agree more. Every interview I have ever seen with anyone who has worked with Tom has done nothing but talk abotu how kind and giving he is/ He gets to know the entire crew - not just the cast but the entire crew. Knows all their names and eats with them half the time. I still think Scientology is nuts but that does not mean Tom can';t also be a very good person overall. We just disagree on something.

I really respect Tom Cruise as an actor, he's done a lot of great movies, also a few not so great ones but what actor hasn't and in the end he commited to every role 100% or at least that's how it comes across, which is great. But yeah, his link to Scientology will always be a divisive subject. I can't get behind it either, but if it makes him happy then I say "live and let live".

You take away the Scientology, he has no peer when it comes to performing your own stunts. The man is amazing.

The Scientology stuff is his biggest criticism.

I adore that movie. So many fantastic actors giving brilliant performances, beautifully shot, engaging script, and everyone ragged on it unfairly (I think) for perceived slights. Same thing happened with The Lone Ranger.

Yeah last movie I think where the big battle at the end is actually all people and not CGI.

He is underrated in some ways. He's been doing action movies for the past decade that some people have forgotten he's an extremly capable dramatic actor as well.

@@tiaaaron3278 no that's the point, his acting range is more narrow than other actors. He's an action movie star and he excels at that but that's it. So when people, like King, say "is he underrated" they're talking about the fact the he never got recognized with Oscars and stuff and it's understandable why, but that doesn't mean he's underrated. Sort of. He's one of the biggest movie stars of all time, so for me he's not underrated.

Tulio Cano I really, really liked him in mi4, but he was underused in mi5. If he comes back to the franchise, I hope they give him more to do than what he did in mi5.

I don't think he gets the credit he deserves to the casual movie fan who thinks, "Oh its Hawkeye from the Avengers!" However he has been nominated for an Oscar twice so far in his career. For best actor in The Hurt Locker and best supporting actor in The Town. If you haven't seen those definitely check them out. I also thought he was great as the mayor in American Hustle. The way he is doing things I wouldn't be surprised if he wins a best actor Oscar soon.

I saw Jeremy Renner first in SWAT movie. After that his filmography went to include highly critically acclaimed films that you guys mentioned plus Arrival. He has been part of one of the best movie franchises. But here is the sad part - His Marraige. His personal life is tragic. He married a woman who has some kind of selfish disorder.

I thought so at beginning when I saw marvel fans putting up Sebastian above him in the interviews but after checking his movies now I realized he is a far better and accomplished actor and as long as he has a good career in the industry the comments/opinions of fangirls doesn’t matter. He is acclaimed in Hollywood and that’s great for him.

I was so disappointed he wasn’t in Fallout. When the end credits rolled I was all “where’s my man Brandt?”. Same thing when I watched Infinity War. All these movies lying to me, making me watch them thinking Renner’s going to be in it, GAH!

I liked Bourne Identity the best but didn't care much for the other Matt Damon Bourne movies (okay but not great). I loved Renner's Bourne movie and think those that hated on it are the types of people who really can't handle anything outside of their little bubble. That movie and Renner are underrated.

That movie is gales of excellence. Brilliant performances all around; Taylor Sheridan is a god amongst men.

I think your comment is far more foolish tbh. The fact is Cruise has been a "movie star" for a long time now. He's carried multiple blockbuster franchises. He's renowned for his athleticism and doing his own stunts etc. It's not unreasonable to question whether his acting talent and skill are overshadowed by that hype and notoriety. He has put out numerous fine dramatic performances over the years but it's not what he's known for and it's not a given or even, arguably, common for someone of his stature and how he's most commonly positioned in the market.

Well considering he's been in seminar movies for the last 4 decades yet never been honored with an Oscar, is why King questions his underratedness... And i think given the cinematic landscape Tom occupies compared to other more awarded actors, that suspicion is warranted...

João Paulo Brazil Sam Worthington, Jai Courtney, Ryan Reynolds - all good actors in their own way, but when they showed up in 1 film, Hollywood quickly shouted out “This guy is going to be big, cast him in every leading role!” and boy did that backfire.

Jeremy proved that he can carry a movie many times regardless so he’ll be fine.
