Welcome to Córdoba, the agricultural capital of Colombia. This department is a hidden gem along Colombia's coast and the home of one of it's most iconic symbols -- the sombrero vueltiao! I ended up falling in love with Córdoba's capital city of Montería and everything else the department had to offer!

Este departamento es una joya escondida a lo largo de la costa colombiana y el hogar de uno de sus símbolos más icónicos: ¡el sombrero vueltiao! ¡Terminé enamorándome de la capital de Córdoba, Montería, y de todo lo demás que el departamento tenía para ofrecer!

Excelente video, que energía la de Ginna y hablando de palabras adquiridas, de otros idiomas, esos equipos de sonido grandes se llaman "Picó" porque viene de la mala pronunciación de Pick-Up, ("levantar" el volumen).

Hey, this hits different when you are away from your hometown. Definitely you sum up very well what we can find there sometimes people ask me and I am short in what should I say also you were very well informed and documented: where did you get the info from? Probably you missed the indigenous excavation in tierra alta, our beautiful island "isla fuerte" and probably one of the representative festival for black and indigenous 'festival del bullerengue'. All said , amazing job! Pd: there is a pick up festival in Melbourne ( the only one outside colombia) where there is one Aussie showing the pickup culture cuz he fell in love when he went to Colombia and he wanted to replicate it.

Sending all love from Colombia! I'm totally going to have to go back and check out some of those things you mentioned! Córdoba was a total surprise for me, it was a department I didn't know much about at all before but ended up being one of my favorites! Also, how freaking cool that there's a pico festival in Melbourne! To answer your question, it's usually a mix of research and just talking to people ☺️ I do a lot of research before I visit a place so I know a little bit of what to expect, and then I just really enjoy making connections and hearing people's stories. So while there's some planning to the process a lot of it comes together as I'm experiencing it ha!
