rewatching this i find it interesting how He never used the moss blocks on a composter it fills up the composter quite a lot and he only actually needs one moss block to bonemeal because the surrounding blocks becomes moss which he can use to get more bonemeal as long as he keeps one moss block on him

I'm doing nearly this same thing in Bedrock right now. I think this technique (quarrying) is a lot stronger now because a beacon can cover more blocks now that the world is deeper, because there are more types of blocks to mine now, and because we can now farm shulker shells to store the big piles of loot. Two tips: first, put your beacons around 50 blocks above the bottom of your world, so that they actually cover these entire chunks. Two, if you're on Bedrock, you can switch up your mining technique once you hit deepslate layer. Mine out every third row of blocks using the speed mining technique: this is performed by holding down the mine button when you're out of range of the blocks, and then walking into them. You will find that you can mine blocks at walking speed, even with speed II. Taking out every third row will expose every ore block in the deepslate. I'm almost finished with this step and, once I'm done, I'm going to coat the sides of the quarry with flowing water, stuff the space in between the remaining deepslate with TNT, and blast it all out.

Today I mined a 5by5 area with enchanted iron and it took a couple of hours, about 3. Respect+ for you doing 20 times what I did in less time on average

I honestly wouldn't be bothered to mine even half of the first layer so good job. You should name it the Pit of Drops because you can fall there and it's going to be a farm with many mob drops or whatever you put in there :D You should also try making a nether hub or making something awesome in the End when you run out of things to do!!

Next time use the moss you collect in a composter and you'll get even more bone meal so you could have continued technically forever

I did a calculation for how long it's going to take to dig the hole. 19 hours if no breaks not counting getting pickaxe ect. But if you do take a break maybe a day or 2. To finish this video probs a week so I'm proud of you and how hard you work on your videos. Also 19 hours to 2 days mining with a pickaxe.

Me and my dad did this back in 2016, no enchantments, no beacon’s, we only used stone pickaxes because we were clueless of advanced things, we finished our 100x100 cube. Took around 7 months. Good times :)
