"I Miss Verdansk" was produced, filmed and edited by myself and is a parody of Stan by Eminem. I have no previous background in making or producing music so hopefully this doesn't come across as too cringeworthy (haha) I have however been working very hard on this project during my spare time since February 2022 and very nearly scrapped the idea altogether so your support and feedback would be amazing! I do at least hope that the message resonates with you in some way and brings back memories of an uncertain time for us all, where CoD Warzone felt like a refuge during a time when we were all "locked inside our home".

Verdansk was a big part of your videos, the execution videos now just dont feel the same without executing the guy camping in downtown or hearing someone scream in deathcom, no map they introduce to warzone or warzone 2 will truly beat verdansk.

This brings back memories with my step dad. We had played together in COD like Black Ops 2 and 3. I also played verdansk with him. He sadly passed away recently. It brings back so many memories and fun I had with my step dad. I will never forget how much fun we had playing together.

Man, Verdansk really did just hit differently. Being locked inside, while the world seemingly went to hell in a handbag outside, and you could drop in Warzone and all the outside worries just went away. It had such a sense of wonder. Such a great song too to use as inspiration. Well done.

100% true. Verdansk made Call of duty relevant again, made one of the most played games ever. Since December 2021 (vanguard) warzone died.

After playing a couple of games of warzone mobile I can confirm that it’s not just nostalgia this map was just so well designed I just had a game where the circle was closing in that area between quarry and farm and damn rotating those buildings felt so right, you could just so easily get a tactical vantage point that wasn’t too high up or campy and it’s why I love verdansk so much

I thank you for putting your full effort into this it just pictures so well and the lyrics are so fun to listen to, it's an aesthetic creation/animation. The song is perfect for every memory in cod and the lovable Verdansk of course, we all miss Verdansk it will never be forgotten. This video truly touched something deep down below into our hearts, and I am pretty sure that that spot shines exactly for this game. This song just hits so many levels. It's not a diss-track onto Caldera, and it's also not saying Verdansk was perfect either. There was this weird magical time where we all felt lost or scared or confused at what was happening in the world outside, and a lot of us found each other in Verdansk. Well done, Tomo. Thank you for beautifully putting together what a lot of us have been feeling for a long time. 🧡🧡

This hit hard. Because I had a life back then. Trying to stitch the pieces back together but nothing will ever top my first solo win when it seemed all was easier. I even made friends online, one of em died from covid, and all my feelings about it are confused. Today under medication and suicide watch, my girl left and I lost my place, the fight is permanent to hold my head up. I love y’all and thank you for standing strong for the past 2 years. The cod community brought me so much. Letting myself cry on this song is beautiful. Much love

I feel you bro. I became father in beginning of 2020 and shortly after my wife left us. Nowadays I got my sh*t together but Warzone and especially Fugglet, Stone, Tomo etc helped me a lot to get some time and space to just enjoy something without fearing the future. I really feel you.

I remember playing Warzone in the early days. It was, however, really difficult to play without MW2019. Still, It was one of the games you could come back to. It would always be the same and that's not a bad thing! The mechanics, the guns, even the meta. It was different from any other shooter I ever played. I never really played Warzone for the cosmetics, or for kills, I was just trying to have fun. Yet, I met no one I could play with. I transferred to Apex after some time, thinking it would be fun too, and it was! But now, it just doesn't hit the same as it did in 2020 or 2021. The cosmetics, the gameplay, I feel like the game is dying quickly. I came back to Warzone recently and.. was pretty disappointed. The fact that the game, which looked perfect alone, had a good idea and, hell, the attention to details... was now just an addon. I'm playing MW2019 again, I'm going for Damascus and then I hope that Modern Warfare 2 will have at least half of what old Modern Warfare had. I just want to go back in time. I miss Verdansk.

Warzone came out at the right time for me. Not only was we in the pandemic, I was also recovering from having a brain tumour removed and this game got me through it. 2020 Verdansk will always have a special place in my heart

I never played MW2019 myself but I would watch my friends stream it on discord and we would have so much fun just talking and doing dumb things… This song hits different, this song was the first reason in years I shed a tear for a good reason. Thank you for this Tomographic, even us operators who were never deployed to the Warzone, it changed our lives. We salute the fallen land of Verdansk, but it will never leave us. Now we have Warzone mobile coming soon, meaning Verdansk is never truly gone, it will just be in our hearts and pocket. Never forget Verdansk fellow operators, but make sure to focus on the future, because the future, looks very promising.

And I also agree with your point, warzone just doesn't hit like before anymore, i thought cold war had destroyed the game... until *vanguard* came in. hope the things that made our quarantine may come back in WZ2

This hits me right in the feels. Warzone was one of the few things I looked forward to during the pandemic because it was fun and allowed me a degree of socialization. This song makes me realize how important this game was to my mental health.

Wow man, that hit me pretty deep. Playing with friends in Verdansk during lockdown was my only distraction from my depression. Even made new friends from all over the world. Verdansk helped me make happy memories during a dark time and this song is such a great reminder!

I've been on xbox for 13 years and lost two of my mates that I met online we played from COD4 MW2 Black Ops and so on then moved on to the Destiny franchise one died in a motorbike accident and the other was drunk wrestling with his friend and he fell hit his head on a radiator and became paralysed from the neck down then sadly passed R.I.P Mick and Carl and thanks for the memories lads.

The part where it said "So to every single solder who helped serve in verdansk we were apart of something special only you will understand" that hit me so hard because it was the fact of me and my dad playing this game and a few of my friends we all had fun but then my dad passed away this year in June and all my friends hopped off Xbox and I haven't seen them or herd them ever since but those guys were my Brotherhood and I won't forget them. Love this song thanks for bringing back these memories to me .

everyone that played verdansk back in day the wishes that they could play it again. but to the people that didnt, they think we are just dramatic but we all know the simplicity and nostalgia of verdansk is better. But dont dwell on the fact that we cannot play verdansk anymore because we have more games than COD WZ and YOU are not the only one to miss verdansk❤

Seeing the clip of the verdansk zombies event just took me back, that had to have been the fucking best limited time mode ever. Legitimately had a blast playing during that time. The best part was when you got a little tired of playing you hop on KZfaq and watch Westie,Stone,Aculite,Jack,Fugglet,Tomo…. Have a blast playing as well. This songs great brings a tear to my eye.

I remember playing Warzone in that first lockdown with one of my best friends and that was our way of being with each other whilst we couldn't see each other in person. He passed away late last year, so I'll always be grateful for verdansk for those early lockdown memories with him.

This need sooo many more watches. I honestly don't care where I land anymore. But man...back then, calling out the drop at superstore, downtown, stadium.. it meant something. Every location had its own feeling, it's own play style. Miss it so much. And the fact that no one in South Africa plays BR anymore tells me that everyone else also doesn't like the new map. Atleast compared to the good old Verdansk.
