Maniac is actually still charting in the top 40 of all Korean charts after almost four months. Maniac still gets 500k daily views on Spotify and they have like 2x more monthly listeners than Gfriend so they definitely get slowly the recognition as Viviz

The members wanted Untie to be their title track but their company wanted it to be Maniac. They compromised by allowing them to create a performance video for Untie with great choreography invented by Kany who was recruited for a one off special project for these two songs. She has recently worked with Shinee and before that was choreographer for Beyonce. But she fell in love with the members of VIVIZ whilst working with them and they instantly became friends despite the language barrier. She said she wanted to work with them some more and consequentially signed an exclusive contract with their company so she can create more choreography masterpieces for their future songs.

Umji really did improve a lot since becoming a VIVIZ member... it shows how confident she is now than before...

During gfriend's debut sinb was also known for her resembling Jessica jung. I don't remember properly but i think in an interview Jessica mentioned Sinb for resembling her. And yeah sinb and moonbyul gives tomboy vibes

Why Viviz's views are much less than Gfriend's? It's true that Viviz's MVs gathered less views than the time when Gfriend was in their heydays. It is probably not surprising that Viviz does not retain all the old fandom of Gfriend, particularly the pedestrian listeners. The separation of the members surely accounts for part of the loss. However, there is a strong contingent of Buddis who continue to support the girls, Viviz and otherwise. With "Maniac", Viviz is coming on truly strong. It seems that this song carries some true magic that appeals to both Korean and overseas audiences, as evidenced by its staying power in charting after three months of its release. 2. Are the Gfriend members still close? Absolutely, you can easily find videos in which members supporting each other with their comebacks, as well as social gatherings of OT6. Gfriend is a group with genuine bonds between all the members, and all the faithful Buddies recognize and continue to find reinforcement from the media on their lasting relationship. 3. Other recommendation - You should react to (or just watch it on your personal time) Viviz's performance video of "Untie" as the girls crushed another bona fide gem. PS: BTW, Kany Diabaté Ahn is the choreographer for Viviz's "Maniac" (as well as "Untie").

To be honest it is not up until Maniac that I started following Viviz, because I never actually heard of the group even after gfriend's disbandment. Then I started backtracking to glassbead and now streaming all of them since it's refreshing to me 🤣 Oh and also thanks for reacting to more than just the MVs, takes effort, keep up the good work.

SinB says that VIVIZ are still part of GFriend and so they refused to choose a leader saying that Sowon will remain their leader even though she isn’t even in VIVIZ. Sowon has promised they will reunite again one day and has suggested that she would love it to be this year. But there will be a lot of difficulties matching up their schedules and finding time for rehearsals together when they are in different companies and not all of them can drive or have a car.

I appreciate your honesty. Even if i'm their fan i'm saying their producers really need to work hard on title track productions.Some of the parts sounds odd. But they really have great b-sides and have amazing production

Some GFriend fans maybe don't even know VIVIZ exists. I see many comments saying many knetz were surprised that they were former GFriend members. Though for me I am a fan of VIVIZ and never really heard of GFriend before. I say most of the times I vibe with VIVIZ's songs more. Their BSides are great. especially UNTIE, LOVE LOVE LOVE, FIESTA

Well, you're not the only one who realized SinB's voice is something else. I mean she really have a beautiful voice. But yk, its overshadowed by other members cause SinB have this soft, sweet voice and unique tone and others have this powerful voices like yuju and eunha, and sinb rarely go for the higher notes... but yeah, sinb has a balance voice as what you said.

If you want to get a lot more of Maniac try watching VEGINZ episode 17 which shows the making of the song and its album and you see Kany working them hard creating the dance choreography. Fascinating to watch as well as hugely enjoyable to listen to.

Thanks for all that time u gave to the girls, as a buddy from start of gfriend debut, I will always follow the girls no matter what the do, I loved the softness an unique sounds of gfriends music, and i think viviz continue that in their own way, vocal softness is a real dreamy sound to me, Buddies are for life, we just adjust the name with each member lol, ❤

For your question @43:50 their new company, BPM, is very poor at promoting their artists. They don't use ads in VIVIZ's MVs that's why the views are like that. 😂 Unlike when they were promoting as GFriend most of their MVs used ads upon release.

Btw, Gfriend's members did mentioned numerous times that they will comeback together one day. Gfriend is not disbanded, just left the company together, that's all.

GFriend does each others dance challenges but not together as six. They also kept celebrating their GFriend debut anniversary. Maybe they are waiting till the trademark for their group name expires in december 2025.
