I just tried this, but i used a transparent post-it note accordion folded up and then taped down. That still worked, and really well, i might add. It's crazy that that's all it took to turn it into a handheld device. I've been missing playing with my vital bracelet since i got a fitbit. But now i can run it again. Thank you!!!!! ❤

Today I get my 2nd vital bracelet that mainly use for let the evolution/jogress timer running. I only have normal(thin) transparent tape. So what I did was just tape it multi-layer. It is very inconsistent, sometime it does not detect heart rate, while other time it could goes up to 110+. It still do serve the purpose of keeping digimon alive without wearing. Thanks for the tip :D

Yes! It doesn't need to be exactly the tape that I used. So long as the light can be refracted to some extent, the detection should give it a bit of a boost to keep the Digimon alive.

An update: cloud still appear way too often than i like, then I get a sad digimon. So, I tried to stick an unpopped bubble wrap's bubble into it, it is still a lot of grey cloud, but it work differently. It does not work in environment that is too bright or too dark for some reason. then I do something like 4 layer of tape + 1 bubble wrap bubble + 3 more layer of tape to keep bubble there. Now it work on normal light condition, but it still doesn't work when it is too dark. I guess nothing still compare to thick tape.(?)

@@huatzh no actually it seems like the texture and the environment it is resting on has a big influence on the results. When I also try out different tables, those with darker textures, my Digimon had bad mood more often.

first thanks for sharing. Can you help me ? I have a problem with my VB first edition. My Vb cannot check my Vital and cannot increasing Vital Point. I already tried to tape like You but still not working. And i tried to reset Heart beat to. it was scan my first beat but when finished my vital didn't work

Oh. If it is the first edition it is a lot harder. The first edition is a lot less forgiving and drops vitals a lot… it is the later version Digivice V that is better. I had a first edition (the neon band one) and tried it before. It is not as good. Just to be clear you are referring to when you are not wearing the device right? If you are wearing the first edition VB does your vital go up?

Yes! And they are very well designed too! It was just not very accessible for me, so I decided to make my own budget mod. Lol

Haha. Honestly I have not tried, maybe you can give it a shot? If you have some spare tape no harm trying… in about 1-2 hours you can tell if it works.
