In social media or other western channels, Bangladesh is known as overpopulated small country,with little infrastructure, in reality it’s much bigger than outsiders think,but it’s completely opposite. Only Dhaka can be very crowded but rest of the country is very green with large open spaces. If ur looking for quiet remote places, there’s plentiful around Bangladesh, places like Chittagong Hill Tracts mountainous remote region of Bandarban,khagrachari, Rangamati, Sylhet Division: Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Hobiganj, Sunamganj, Nijhum Dwip, St Martins Island, Cox bazar longest uninterrupted 150 miles sandy beach in the world, Monpura Island in Bay of Bengal, Sunderbans biggest Mangrove forest in the world, Madhupur Tracts in central Bangladesh, there’s 54 protected wildlife areas in Bangladesh & many national parks. Ethnicity: 98% are Bengalis. 2% indigenous people & speaks 54 languages among them. Religion 85% Bangladeshis are followers of Islam. Rest 13% followers of Hinduism. 1% followers of Buddhism. 1% followers of Christianity. ❤❤❤

Bangladesh, especially Sylheti's have always been known for their hospitality. It's always a surreal, out of world experience visiting that part of the world when you come from a western country. A culture shock. You are overwhelmed. Stick to eating simple foods. Drinking bottled water and you'll be fine.

Brother Sylheti people are the best. Big hearts. The Sylheti language is beautiful, too. Try to learn it. Bengoli is a separate language. Unfortunately, because Sylhetis are a minority their identity and language are supressed.

@@abdixplorer how do I reach you?
@pantabhaaatАй бұрын
I disagree. Sylhetis aren’t supressed to speak sylheti because they’re minority. Kindly refrain from spreading misinformation which creates a divide between our own people. Sylhetis are as much Bangladeshi as other parts of Bangladesh.
@simonkaggwanjalaАй бұрын
@pantabhaaat Sylhetis are not a monopoly of Bangladesh. There are more Sylhetis in India than Bangladesh. Go and read about Barak Valley, which is part of the historic Sylhet region. Please stop spreading nationalistic fallacies that impede a people's language and history. Bangladesh is only 50 years old. It's a new and artificial political construct.
@pantabhaaatАй бұрын
@@simonkaggwanjala yeah no one here disagrees with history or facts but claiming that sylheti is supressed isn’t right either. I have never come across any other part in Bangladesh where sylhetis are stopped or supressed from speaking their language. Show me one place in Bangladesh with evidence that you have not been allowed to speak in sylheti or suppressed as you claim. Kindly stop spreading wrong information. And talk about the present days. ‘Spreading nationalistic fallacies that impede people’s language and history’ I can’t help your wrong assumptioms about my thoughts on it either. Fyi, my family is strongly connected to a part of sylhet (Moulvibazar to be specific ) and been there so I can defo tell no one is oppressed neither suppressed lol
