Impossible to move out in NJ without 2 full time incomes. Cheap piece of shit apt near me is around 2000$ a month. Gonna stay home until i’m in my late 20s and get a pos house and pay the mortgage instead. Dumpiest house possible near where I live is around 300-350k. That’ll get you a small falling apart home

Have you thought about getting roommates? That would be more cost efficient, in terms of not having to abide by your parents' rules and expectations until you're able to afford a place of your own.

I think you are still obligated to provide allowance even if you move out. You dont get a free pass.
