One of my favourite whiskeys by far. Real character on the nose with some lovely rich flavours. I often reach for this in preference to the whiskey snobs preferred pours 😊

They age in 3 barrels first in the exbourbon . Two years in Oloroso and six months in Pedro Ximenez then finish it.The sherry barrels really add some great flavor . I agree you need the right chair to drink whiskey/ whisky .

Would love a deeper dive into Ardbeg and the varieties they have. Been pleasantly surprised with the drinkability despite the peatiness.

God, I feel old. I remember that leather store. Wilson’s leather I think it was called. You could get leather stuff, but the quality was me, but it didn’t break the bank.

I may put this on my wish list now and do a three wood blind tasting. there are two other three wood scotches from other distilleries that I would put up against this. The Laphroaig triple wood and the Glenturret Triple wood.

My back hurts thinking about all those flips. Wish I was athletic enough to do them.
