The weight of an instrument is essential when we are going to play complicated passages, the instrument inspires confidence when it weighs enough, since it does not move from your body and clings to the body, so you will not struggle with holding the instrument to Don't let it move, this is a totally personal opinion, since also being heavier will hurt your back more, but I honestly prefer that to have more stability and security when playing, that's why I always preferred a Mahogany Jazz Bass.

It's not just about the weight, but also the balance. If the instrument is balanced perfectly, it will stay in place regardless of how heavy or light it is. I tried this one with a strap and because of the unique placement of the strap buttons, the balance was perfect. It was comfortable to play both standing and sitting. It took a LOT of willpower to not buy it.

I tested it out, it sounds fantastic and has probably the most comfortable 4 string neck I have played in my life. The instrument is absolutely phenomenal in every way. Absolutely guarantee you will not be disappointed, and if you don't love it, I'll gladly buy it!
