I don't want to scare anyone and I do not need a wellness check. This video was not easy to make and I almost didn't bother uploading it after watching it. It's just better for me if I do. I've been able to keep hidden much of my life from those that really cared. What other people don't understand is their own problem.
I know that some of the things I remember may be fabricated imagination, especially at such a young age but I have spoken with my mother and confirmed much of the experience I had. Many other memories have been coming forward since the trip. The visit to the hospital to have my stomach pumped was just the beginning of a lot of crazy BS that would follow. Even still, others have had it far worse than I.
I fully understand the stigma that surround psychedelics. The massive misconception of how drugs like psilocybin, LSD, ayahuasca, DMT work and how old they are. Our society cut us off from these important mental medicines. They can be used spiritually. No, they are not for everyone. I can see how people would grow worry or concern for another persons safety using these drugs. Research is needed and it is starting to happen. Mushrooms have become important to me and I will continue to explore them. I'm getting somewhere.
Please take the time to watch the documentary Fantastic Fungi. Thanks

Today, the mushroom compound is being used in clinical trials for end-of-life anxiety, treatment-resistant depression, cluster headache, addiction, eating disorders and other conditions with unprecedented success, and psilocybin-assisted therapy has been given FDA “breakthrough therapy” status as a treatment for depression.

When people go through trauma, they can become disillusioned. It seperates you from people still stuck in their npc program. The fantasy of normal is over. Then you start to see personalities as personas, and they become repetitive. Society molds people into generic shapes (sports teams, political preferences, religion, colour, etc..) and you assimilate accordingly. Its exhausting being around others, and the predictability of the interactions is irritating

@Dr Funke Which part is not true? That there's nothing to fix or that it's not the brain and you can rewire it. Cause i definitely think it is possible to be "broken" and indeed to be in need of fixing. We should not get to the point that we unlearn all of the knowledge and lessons of all of humanity before us. I think we have been doing this for decades now and the fruits of that, well just look outside... I think people have been going in a very wrong direction. Again, just look outside for proof. We need to have shared moral values or else, well or else you get the 2020's - and it is just beginning, i think things are going to get medieval... and with our modern technology we might be way worse off then ever before.

In my personal experience you just have emotionally closed your heart off to protect yourself from feeling grief. It's not a disorder just a survival mechanism we all have to protect us from feeling repeated trauma. In the same way our hands develop a callous, our inner nervous system does as well from early stressful experiences. It can make us cold hard and numb as we grow into adulthood. You have a brain in your heart it is much smarter than the one in our heads, focus your awareness there. You are on the beautiful road of healing buddy thank you for sharing with us glad I found this video tonight.

I agree it’s maybe good to protect yourself. However, it must be processed in order to heal. You must feel it all and then let it go. Then you must OPEN your heart to love. No longer dwell on past traumas but be open to giving and receiving love. When we live through trauma we often deny ourself love of any kind because I’m the past, love hurt us. It’s all about becoming emotionally elevated ❤

You were already clean when they helped you. It was just the last step to your sobriety. Nobody who's using deep in their addiction can quit heroin cold turkey and if they say they did, they were in jail. . I quit goofeballs 7 years ago. I was using for 10 years. You werent using for 15. Every addict adds 5 years to their time for some odd reason. Shrooms did not get you to stop craving the drug. If you are not readt to get clean, shrooms will make your cravings worse. They did not get you sober. You did it yourself. I know many people who did ayawaska or shrooms to get clean while they were on smack and every one of them got so freaked out that they went the other way and got worse. It's a process. Stop exaggerating for the sake of your comment.

Humbling is a good description. I do not encourage any use of anything. My experience began in the late 90's and the quality of "stuff" was quite different. Out of all of my experience, psychedelic journeys were the most beneficial, if there is such a thing. All of "it" certainly opens gateways in the conscience( which never close by the way). Everything outside of psychedelics is very deceptive within the experience itself and afterwards. Im still not certain if its something as human beings we should be doing. Pros and Cons. Not for everyone. Moderation is good. God Bless

Hi Duane, that was a fascinating insight into your life and personal feelings. As a regular viewer of your car related videos, it’s easy to forget that you have a whole life of other experiences and thoughts outside working on cars. You were correct when you said that all the superficial fake things aren’t important and don’t make you happy. Like you, I’m in my 40’s and own 3 modified cars which my younger car friends think is awesome and often tell me how lucky I am to have such nice rides, but I keep telling them that the cars aren’t that important and they don’t bring me true happiness. I honestly prefer to look at other people cars at meets, learn new ideas, and ask questions rather than talk about my own cars. There are so many greater priorities in life such as spending time with friends and family, meeting new people, taking care of yourself through diet and exercise, getting out and exploring the world, etc. I found the videos of your trip to Jasper fascinating and it makes me want to come to Canada and explore. Lastly, you were spot on when you said you needed to put yourself first. Forget worrying about meaningless details like number of subscribers, views, putting out regular videos that you think people want to see, etc. It’s your channel and you decide what content to put out there. Only do it because you enjoy it and as long as it’s not distracting you from more important things you want to do. Make videos based on what you’re currently working on, and those who are interested will follow you for the journey. I’m loving your WRX rebuild videos and following them with keen interest. Keep up the good work!

Hey Duane, I just stumbled across this video looking for Cubensis trip reports and well I found your video by chance lol (the first video of yours I’ve seen), it was so honest & you shared a lot of wisdom in it. Considering the conditions of the world we humans undergo, it’s not so “crazy” to be deemed “crazy/outta whack”. In fact it’s a natural response to society’s disorder & mania. Thanks for the vulnerability truly. I’m actually interested in your more candid side, but I subbed cause I’ve been interested in cars lately & wouldn’t mind seeing sit down videos like this or vlogs, don’t be afraid to express that side of yourself more if that’s a what your intuition is showing to you. Keep searching for truth, Accept All, Reject Nothing. You’re on a great track, pat yourself on the back & keep going. Much love. -B✨

Agreed that society has made us by design. I think some day everyone will be categorized. Disorders are only a thing because society placed that judgement. Some guy that has 13 children with 9 different women, doesn’t have a disorder? Lmao. They will figure it all out long after I’m gone! 👍

For what it is worth I have enjoyed your 'company' watching these videos over the years, including your wee trip rambling up the hills. Having climbed many hills in Scotland I have found it a great way to recharge and reconnect with yourself. I tend to get my 'highs' from music and sometimes find the inspiration and explanation I need or feel from songs. Just watching your video has inspired me to put on Led Zeps 'Ramble On'.....and Jethro Tull's 'Inside'.....keep on rambling on (physically and verbally) and making your videos if it helps. All the best.

It took a lot for you to share what you did in this video. I just came across it randomly and liked how honest you were about your experiences. The drug war has set humanity back about 50 years in understanding how certain plants and chemicals can help with pain, illness, and mental health, which is extremely unfortunate. Tides are changing, so with any luck, we will be treating more people using nature instead of harmful pharmaceuticals.

Thanks. Honesty really is the best policy. I see that so many people feel the same way and that makes me glad that I used the short reach I have to extend what I've learned to others. What made this video so different from most other peoples videos is this isn't a trip report. This was a very short segment of figuring out my life and how the plant medicine is making me understand things I couldn't before. That psilocybin is in fact medicinal and there is no bother to question that anymore. The people that do question, are simply not read up on the subject. Society stole a lot of my life away from me. Not only am I going to take it back, I'm going to help others take back theirs as well.

I don’t tend to comment on videos, I feel like this video has spoken to me in a way that I simply must comment. Firstly, I must applaud the honesty and attention you’ve given to your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I’ve been thinking about using mushrooms in a similar way and, searching for videos regarding other people’s experiences, I have to say that this video shows real depth, and I think you’ve articulated yourself well. I’ve had a few difficulties with other people (in a general sense) since I can recall, for the last couple of years I’ve been seeing a counsellor for some psychodynamic therapy, it seems that some of the insights you’ve had on psilocybin are on a similar level to those I’ve been having in my therapy. I’d recommend you incorporating a talking therapy into your week to anyone, but especially to you after hearing your thoughts and memories (and the thoughts on your memories), I sensed some shame from you during this video, I think it’s mainly shame about your actions as a child. My therapist said something to me once that has made a big difference in my mind, he said that I was judging my child-self as though he were me now. It made me realise that I’d never judge a small child in as harsh a manner as I judged myself for doing what I remember doing as a child. After that session I went home and told my partner about my greatest shameful experience, fully expecting to be judged by her, but instead she unburdened herself of her most shameful secret memory from her childhood. It was the most liberating experience I’ve ever had. I’m impressed by anyone who wants to better understand their self, and who want to better themselves. Thank you for doing this video; it’s relieving to see I’m not alone in having inner anguish.
@HomebrewSubaru

I have made some serious progress since this video was uploaded. It hasn’t been easy. I took a head dive further into psychedelics and some things about my life have come to the forefront. I can see some of what I was doing wrong. I can see through the people that were not helping my situation. I am taking much better of myself both mentally and physically. Mind and body reflect one another. Working on both is really accelerating my healing process. I think of it as more learning than healing. Therapy is just not something that can work for me. I am a master manipulator and will turn some therapists mind inside out unintentionally. Whether I’m still judging my inner self or not, that is definitely changing. I see the path I need to follow and no one is going to detour me from now on. Thanks for your comment, I hope your journey finds you better off and well 🙏

Thank you for posting this. Its amazing how individual we all feel, yet the emotions we all experience are very similar and also the mental health issues that arise from trauma. Behaviour patterns or whatever textbook phrase you want to use...'Self destruction'. The vandalism and fires you set as a kid. I was the same and at 33 i still have mental issues which i know stem back to childhood, or some sort of undiagnosed thing. Feeling as though people treat me like im stupid my whole life so it led me to not even try... though i feel as if ive always been able to see through people and their veneer. My bullshit detector has always been pretty sharp i feel haha. Starting my journey to find out what the fuck is wrong with me too 😅. All the best to you brother.

A lot of soul searching is what it’s taken for me. These trips I’ve been having has really changed my perspective of how we all interact with one another. Many of us simply don’t deserve to put up with other peoples own personal issues. It can be difficult to ignore from both sides. What I found is many people that are around me act similarly to one another and I sort of stick out like a bad thumb. It made me realize there is something going on. Spending time alone can help a person dig deep into their own mind and soul. There are lots of answers within ourselves that we can find if we understand how to and try hard enough. Good luck 👍

I appreciate you sharing your incredible experience. It must have been hard to go through, and probably equally as hard sharing, but know that the appreciation is immense. I too had a breakthrough, but on LSD, not shrooms. Realizing that we are all one and intricately connected, not only to each other but to everything in this universe was the most humbling and eye-opening experience. When the illusion of the self fades, and you fall deeper into the real "you" (whatever that means, those of you who know, know, words cannot describe it), you realize that there is no "normal" and that this illusion of society and difference we have is just that, an illusion. We need to be kind to each other, because after-all, we're all the same. Your suffering is ultimately my suffering, and after my experience, I truly believe such a thing. I have not deemed it necessary to dive back into that experience, as it was a rather traumatizing one (I had a rather traumatic complete dissolution of my ego), but I really appreciate people taking the journey and learning about themselves and the truth about what we are. We are the divine experiencing itself. There is a source, and we are all a part of it. I wish endless love, happiness, and growth for you my friend.

Thanks for sharing brotha. I am 24 and in Dec 2020 at my lowest point found mushrooms... Actually they found me. And saved my life. They just started popping up. It shattered my reality. The next day I Googled "Believing in God after shrooms." I am not religious but believe we are all God having a human experience. That's what shrooms tap you into. You definitely aren't crazy. I also had to Google "am I crazy?" and the result was "If you are aware you might be crazy, you aren't." We are just like you said "leveling up." There is a mass spiritual awakening happening. I see repeating numbers and stuff everywhere now. I totally believe in time traveling through emotions. Creating that feeling takes you back to relive, change, heal and understand since trauma is stored at a cellular level.

Glad you are finding your path. I am finding that it is our society that has stolen a lot spirituality from us. Always wanting the newest toys, the nicest clothes, to go where we please. It all takes time and money which drives to work more, harder and longer. Eventually I am realizing we don't have to grind ourselves to death because most of those things aren't necessary to survive and be well.

@@HomebrewSubaru I have been through my own experience with addiction too. I could really relate to what you shared in both videos. I have only watched 2 of your videos so far. Last year, I was researching micro dosing for depression and I had tried different SSRI in the past and it has not seemed like the solution to me. I really relate to your view on big pharma!! I came across so many different experiences on the internet and decided to order it online and try it. I wish I had a therapist to work with while I was doing it. I micro dosed for 6 months and didnt notice much. Somedays I felt super emotional while micro dosing. Then one day, I decided to take 3 grams through out the day by myself. My nose started running so i took a tissue out of my tissue box. The sound was so soft and fluffy. The sound was enhanced for me. I started hysterically laughing about and could not stop for a bit. I also danced and blasted music. I cried, I journaled, meditated, did breath work, it was a ride. I was a little tired the next day but I agree there was a glow/happiness I carried for a couple days. I have not done it since. I would love to meet some like minded people to do it with, if I decide to do it again... I enjoy hearing others experiences. 3 grams is all it takes. I took 3 grams today. Hadn't gamed in a month or so and a while after I started playing I was completely absorbed into the game. The sounds in the game were as if they were in the room. It was a very different trip than what I am used to. Just knowing I had all of my priorities taken care of, it was a lot of fun to game out while tripping. Running nose is common at certain points when the body is dosed up enough. There is a few signs that you're on a full trip and that is one of the possibilities. It's good to feel that after glow. It can last quite a while depending on the vibes going on in life too. I'm ready to dive right into the week after my little adventure today. I am in the same boat trying to find someone open minded to trip with and share experiences. Thanks for sharing and checking out the other channel.
