Pick up a quartz multifunctional tester. You place the watch on it and it will test the functionality of the watch even if there is no battery or a dead battery in it. It will also show you if the movement/hands are seized. You'll know if the watch works even before you get a chance to put in a fresh battery. It will cost you $25 dollars and fits in your purse.

In Spain there are rabbit farms, they are a source of food there. I think they may as well use the pelts as well as the meat. It would be a shame to waste it.
