Жыл бұрынBrazils population alone is huge, and it ranks as the 6th largest population in the world, with a larger population than countries like Russia and Nigeria.
But Brazil’s land area is also massive, and it takes up almost half of the entire South American continent. It’s also comparable to the size of the contiguous United states.
In fact, the northernmost point of brazil is closer to Canada than it is to Brazil’s southernmost point. This means that this point is also closer to every other country in the Americas than it is to Brazil’s southernmost point. But not only that, Brazil’s easternmost point is closer to the African continent than it is to its easternmost point.

Yes. From my city, Fortaleza, in Northeastern Brazil, we can take a 3 hour flight to Cabo Verde, in Africa. From my city to Rio de Janeiro (inside Brazil) is a 3h 25 min flight.

@@MrAndreCoutinho , it is by season, during some months a year. By TACV (Cabo Verde Airlines) to Praia, in Cabo Verde. Because of Covid 19 and if Cabo Verde's government will sell the Air company or not there is no clue about if it will return.

I must admit, our fields were sculpted by God Himself. I live in Minas Gerais, and we have so many waterfalls, "serras" (probably highlands in english), valleys and even canyons... Some os my favourite are the Itacolomi chain, the Peixe Tolo Canyon, the Serra do Cipó and the Serra da Gandarela.

In Brazil is around 4 million km2, where the country is roughly 8.5 million km2. Europe is around 10 million km2

To me, the most fascinating thing is that all the people in this massive piece of land speaks the same language (with the exception of few indigenous tribes and whatnot). Like, we're surrounded by spanish speaking countries and we're the only one and largest country in the south american continent that doesn't have Spanish as their main language. Doesn't mean we don't like our hispanic brothers, but the language barrier is one of the reasons we had to develop our own culture 'cause we didn't really connect with the rest of latin america. In a lot of ways I feel like brazilians are proud because of our language and different heritage from the rest of south america. We basically carry the Portuguese language on our backs. That contributes to the rivalries in football/soccer with other south american countries as well.

I was a flight attendant in Brazil for years and I can guarantee you will love places in Brazil like Florianópolis (my favorite), Fernando de Noronha, Amazon Forest, Ubatuba Beaches in SP , Boipeba Island-BA and so on

I talk about this all the time. A few years ago I actually got a good look at Brazil and thought to myself “wow… that’s a big freaking country”. 🤷🏼♂️😂

Most people born in Brazil are in love with their country no matter what or what other people may say. I wonder if that's also the case with every other country. Maybe it is. Everybody is in love with their country.

Brazilians are always taking sht about their own country but if if you're not Brazilian and talk sht about Brazil, they will gather to defend the country together 😄 only Brazilians are allowed to talk sht about Brazil

Some other interesting facts: The southern part was colonized mostly by Germans and Italians and is very European. There are also well over 1M Japanese people living in the City of Sao Paulo, making it the largest concentration of Japanese people outside of Japan.
