I’m mad about the Dior highlight palette because I loved it and only got to use it twice before I lost it on vacation and now I can’t even repurchase it because it’s sold out everywhere 😭 you are right absolutely USE all the expensive stuff you buy and don’t save it for special occasions

if you need some inspiration with your pat palettes, you can go and watch Martina Lily - she just did a "everday pat" - series :-) she also has some "one and done - shadow" recommendations based on her pat palettes and uses pat mcgrath often on her channel .. but of course we want to see more from our queen allie too!! :-)

I totally agree about waiting for the special moment! My husband bought me Chanel perfume and I’ve a few designer bags, I always think, I’ll keep it for a special time, I can’t tell you how little they were used! I remember my nanny telling me, everyday is special, enjoy the things you’ve worked to have! So true xx

I loved the Thrive Mascara for years, but could keep on affording it. Tubing mascara is my favorite. No flaking, no dark under eye. I went on a hunt and found that the No7 Stay Perfect Mascara is a wonderful tubing mascara, but not necessarily a dupe…. Then the Milani Highly Rated Lash Extensions Tubing Mascara came around, it’s 100% a dupe for Thrive, and half the price! Totally worth checking out!

Nars is my favourite foundation too. Pat does indeed so lovely palettes. I only have one which I bought when it was 40% off and always use it, the shimmery shades in Pats palettes are the best

I’ve tried the Thrive mascara, but the one I keep going back to and has become my favorite mascara is the Nars Climax. I love this and I hope and pray they don’t discontinue it! Best I have found!

I love this ❤ I definitely needed to hear your experience on using and enjoying your products. I use to feel the same way in using the products for special occasions only. I now just enjoy what I buy. I agree with the Hourglass face palettes and the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray. I want to try the Huda powder but I wonder if it’s good for dry skin.

I first tried Lisa Eldridge lipsticks about a little over a year ago. I bought several shades of the velvet matte ones and by accident one of the Lucent formulas in the shade Dance Card. I love that formula! Then of course I needed other shades and oh heck I might as well get a gloss or two and I am hooked on them. I also at the age of 64 had never used a lip liner and I love those now as well. It's a sickness I know but a beautiful one!

I love all these products you are using, and a lot of it is YOUR FAULT! LOL!! Thank you... and dangerous! I am in love with CT bullet lipsticks.... I want them all! Especially whenever these is special packaging... forget it! Allie: Another Brand you should never try: *Koh Gen Do* (from Japan) available at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom and Beautylish. Their foundations are used by professional makeup arts in the film industry. Incredibly natural skin finish with impeccable staying power (perfect for actors and actresses). Looks even better as the day goes on.

@@CowGirlKat8691 That's why you should never try it. It's THAT good. No need for primer or setting powder. And it looks *even better* as the day goes on. Gives a natural finish, feels like nothing on the skin, last a very long time and no need for touch ups.

Love this makeup look on you! I can relate saving things for special occasions but stopped doing that as well! I can't live without my Estee Lauder mascara. It's the only one that doesn't smudge on me and it's crazy expensive but worth it. Also, Smashbox undereye primer, MAC 24 hour eye base, Lancome Teint Idole All Over concealer, and the Lisa Eldridge highlighter. All high end but worth every penny. I really want to try that Westman Atelier contour stick, the colour looks so good.

Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. I avoided it for years as paying $50 for foundation seemed insane when surely there was a drugstore option that would work just as well. But after trying a lot of drugstore options I caved and tried it, and it was leagues better than anything else. It’s now my standard and I shake my head daily!!

Great video concept, loved it. So mad I tried Tom Ford shade & illuminate contour duo, and Gucci bronzer - can’t put either down. Also the Chanel sublimage undereye corrector - although it’s the only concealer that doesn’t look like makeup under my eyes and doesn’t emphasize wrinkles, so I’m not that mad :)

I haven't tried the Lisa Eldridge Lippies...YET! But I completely agree with you about the Westman Atelier Bronzer (Cream blush too) and I adore the Hourglass ambient Light Palettes. I'm 59 so glitter on the cheeks isn't really flattering but the Hourglass works!!! I have 2 palettes, the one you used and the Ghost palette, LOVE THEM! I will be purchasing the new on as well!!! Beautiful look!!

One brand that never is going to be “ a brand/ product I wish that I never tried “ is Hourglass for me ( their powder products ) just simply because they don’t make products that I can use. That makes me not buying anything for them…

Because of you, Tati and JuicyJas, I have found my forever products. The discovery process is pricey but once something just works, I stick with it. Recently just found my favorite powders and concealers. Cover Fx and new Laura Mercier powder then the Nars radiant creamy and NYX bare with me concealer serum. Also, was able to get an hourglass face palette on clearance at Ulta for $40 and I had points so I paid 30 and it became my fav highlighter lol

Allie have you tried the loreal nude serum foundation its really similar to the nars light reflecting may be a cheaper everyday version for you so you can use the expensive stuff when you are going somewhere maybe help save you some coin 👛

Since having kids I wear a lot more drugstore makeup- I feel lucky because I kind of feel it’s coincided with the drugstore stuff really performing as well if you get the right products- but there are some I just have to repurchase as I can’t replicate them! Lancôme Hypnose mascara, Mac lipstick in Modesty and Relentlessly Red, Urban Decay All Nighter spray and some newer stuff like the Mac Stack mascara (which is starting to rival my lifelong love of the Lancôme), Rare Beauty highlighter and lip liners. If you’d have told me 10 years ago that I’d enjoy using mainly drugstore products I would not have believed you!

Can you do a "how to" video on bronzer and blush placement? Is bronzer placed on the high points of the cheek bone, and then blush is the apples and cheek bones? I don't know how to keep the products separate. I end up just basically blending them together and muddying my blush up

That’s how I feel with charlotte tilbury makeup! I have a few of her products and love most of them. The product from her that just hurt was the pillow talk palette. I bought several palettes trying to get that pink since I couldn’t justify $50 for 4 colors. But when my mother in law gave me a Sephora gift card for Christmas I got it. Once I run out I’ll buy it. It’s one of my favorite shadows in my collection. I love her magic concealer but didn’t repurchase because I hated the packaging.

I think I’ve found one of these kind of products: the Jones Road bronzer in Dusty Pink. I need a cool bronzer that isn’t ashy and nobody else makes a bronzer in that tone. The formula is beautiful. I also feel that way about my Il Makiage foundation and concealer.

It took me a couple of years, but I finally purchased a couple of MAC shadow pots, including painterly and I love them. They do last a while since I dont wear eye shadow every day, but I lost one of them shortly after getting it and i had to repurchase it. OUCH. I am also in love with the IlMakiage mascara and its not cheap for me. But it does the best job on my lashes.

Hi Allie, I have grey hair and I always buy the benefit brow pencils because no one else does gray. I've tried some from Amazon but nothing works as well.

I know it’s not a splurge for everyone, but it kills me to pay more than $20 on a lip gloss, but the Lawless Forget the Filler glosses are $26 and I’m in love with them. The new watermelon collection is out and I’m trying to be strong bc I’ve got medical bills to pay but it’s reeeeeeeaaally calling my name

I NEVER shoulda tried THIS! 😂😂 I'll tell you what Allie... I watched this video without my contact lenses in. So, I had my glasses on. When I want to see stuff perfectly, I take my glasses off and get very close to the phone. Girl, I'm shook! Not only do you always look fabulous but this video takes the cake! I don't need these products but I surely do want them! ALL of them!😅 LOVE~LOVE💕 🤩🤗❤ Time for another screenshot of products. PS Been saving BIG-TIME, for months, for our son's wedding in June. I've been sooooo good! Can't wait to shop!! 🎉🎉😂😂

I have saved SO much money by just using my brown eyeshadows as a brow powder instead of rebuying the IT Cosmetics brow pencil. (I swear the shade Sting from the UD Naked Honey palette is my PERFECT match!) My fave brow gel is the Nyx Control Freak in Clear. The only drugstore eyeshadow palette I've ever bought was the Nyx Ultimate Edit Brights and after only a few uses I ended up decluttering it to my sister. I also use my eyeshadows as my eyeliners and my fave drugstore mascara that I've tried is the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect. So far I've really enjoyed using the KVD balm AND serum foundations. (I've NEVER found a drugstore foundation that I've loved enough to repurchase. At least not since going cruelty free due to p*ss poor shade ranges from the drugstore.) Concealor is also high end by way of Fenty. Still on the hunt for a good face powder I like both drugstore and high end. Loving The Balm powder blush I'm currently using and need to use up my Colourpop x Disney Princess blushin Enchanted mirror even though I'm having a hard time parting with the packaging that is slowly falling apart. 😅 The lip liner I've liked the best are the UD 24/7 liners. I have mostly stuck to high end bullet and liquid lipsticks, but have enjoyed the JP bullet lipstick and the Beauty Bakerie liquid lipstick formulas respectfully.

All your faves are my faves too which is why I like watching you, we have completely different skin tones but it doesnt matter to me, authenticity and a bit of humbleness is a requirement for me to follow anyone doing makeup so I dont end up listening to someone who likes to hear their own voice....

You got me into the nars foundation and benefit brow pencil & brow setter. Mad but not mad, still very happy with them and a lot more that you recommended incl. The CT setting spray haha!. Yes I take yr recommandations seriously❤
