Back in the day, my grandparents lived down the street from Lake Apopka. It was in the middle of orchards. It was basically a dead lake that only had an occasional gators in it. It's nice to see that over the many years it's come back
@inn0c3ntbylaw9220 күн бұрын
over the last 20 years there have been significant strides to bring it back into a bass fishery. It has a massive population of gators, but its a very solid enough lake now

My parents (Louis and Mary Sue Landers) owned Port Hatchineha Marina and a restaurant on the Harris Chain in the early 1970s. I was guiding bass fishermen on Sam Rayburn in Texas at the time. This story brings back many memories.

there’s a spillway in harris that if you can run too there’s a shell bar on the side of it next to the grass line where you can catch a quick limit of alright sized fish on a golden or bone colored lipless (i prefer gold) then dip out to look for bigging

Howdy Ben, salute salute! The judge will be the next big thing Bud!!!!!!!!! A curly tail grub of sizes has seriously caught me more fish than most of the techniques out there. Thank you Ben for the work, still have to watch with safety glasses because of the grinder. Stay bent.

A good tip for the Hair Jigs folks, use a striker on them especially for deeper cooler water.

Good stuff Ben. I knew it was going to be rough for yall. Been fishing the Chain last few months it was tough to get size around that time when yall were there. That's not including how pressured its from all the other tourneys and the spraying.

New baits are looking choice. The judge would be awesome on a chatterbait after it get beat up, cut off the front and go. Best chatter bite I’ve ever been on was with a similar bait with the speed tail.

Either other boats on his spots, the fish moved, or he didn’t get on them in the bite windows those blueback herring lakes are finicky as hell and you can go from zero to hero or hero to zero really quick
