Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard, if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Willard.

Hi joey. Thanks for your inputs. However there’s a slight doubt which arises when you say you watched the lectures. Now that it is concept videos. Is it the same or would it be sufficient that we listen to concept videos as you did with lectures. Thank you
@JoeyCPA
@JoeyCPA 16 күн бұрын
Hey! Yes I kinda used the word lecture and concept video interchangeably. I'd still recommend watching them and taking notes just like I did with the lectures.

Hey! That's all personal preference really. Some people do the exams back to back to back. And some people take a couple months off. My advice would be to get them all done w ASAP as I know some people who take time off in between sessions and never get back into it again. But you know yourself best.

You can definitely just follow Becker and be perfectly fine. But if you want to supplement with Ninja or something like that that won't hurt

Hi, just a quick question. I learned some basic accounting in college, but not much compared to an accounting student. I’m planning to take the CPA exam in the next two years. Should I start Becker immediately or find more basic accounting books/ courses to advance my knowledge first? I don't know whether Becker is more advanced for me or if I can start from Becker. I am stuck about this since Becker is such a significant investment. I really appreciate your response!
@karis1128

Hi! Currently studying for the CPA using the Becker free trial and with Becker it’s information overload. They intentionally overload you with information so that’s it’s easier than the CPA. I definitely recommend to try the free trial and get a feel but it’s definitely gonna feel overwhelming at first lol. Just need lots of practice!
@JoeyCPA
@JoeyCPA 9 күн бұрын
@@karis1128 Yup, I 100% agree with this. Becker would be a good resource but I understand it is a large investment. If you're interested, I created a CPA review supplement which has great content and is far more affordable than Becker. You can check it out at smartercpasreviews.com. The other thing to consider is to make sure you're even eligible to sit for the CPA Exam. Check your state requirements to find out.

Would you do 1 module a day? And split up your time half and half studying the new module, and reviewing the old chapters? Thanks!
@JoeyCPA
@JoeyCPA Ай бұрын
It depends on how much time you want to spend studying but for me, I would do a couple modules each day and also review some older modules. This might take 3-4 hours of studying but that was what I was ok with.

Hi Joey, Thank you for making this video. If I want to find out the correct answers to some of the questions that were tested on the exam, who should I reach out to? I'm dying to know the answers, but Becker doesn't answer the questions that are not included in their course.

how many months you took to pass all exams and months per exam to pass each subject?
@JoeyCPA
@JoeyCPA Ай бұрын
I took a total of 18 months from when i started studying to finishing. I took some breaks in between each exam. And I took this long for each exam: FAR- 6 months(super overkill, did not need that much time) AUD- 3 months (normal length, maybe a bit long) REG- 2 months BEC- 3 months

@@JoeyCPA I am following the same path. I started studying auditing in May and I plan to take the exam the end of July. I start my FAR Becker review on July 11. I thought I would get through the exam quickly, considering I have multiple advance degrees. That was affirmatively debunked. Accounting is extraordinarily boring compared to mu other advanced degrees.
@JoeyCPA

@@marvelouss719 hahaha yes accounting really can be a bore but the key is to just embrace the boring-ness of it all. It is what it is but with focus and consistency you will get through it. Goodluck!
