So I don't repeat suggestions, I don't think I've said One Piece games before. Also, as a tangent from that, covering Musou games inside/outside Dynasty Warriors could make for a ton of content. From Persona 5 Strikers to Fire Emblem Heroes, there's a lot of stuff adapted to the format to compare.

@Niosai I think Fallout would be great! Really want that to get on the channel, so if you can, please do it! Thanks :D Also my favourite elder scrolls game is kinda skyrim for reasons like oblivion is kind of cursed and awkward and I dont like missing every hit in Morrowind haha

Oh crap! I'd completely forgotten about Blades! My poor town. They must be telling stories of how their mysterious benefactor simply disappeared one day, never to be seen again. Honestly, it's their fault for apparently not being able to build their own buildings or do anything else without some random blade coming along and having to do everything for them. Seriously, the progression draaaaags!

Skyrim was the first RPG I ever played and it got me into the genre. I have 1000+ hours in that game spread over PS3, PS4, and PS5. I love it so much. ESO is my second-favorite (also spent hundreds of hours in that game), with Oblivion being a close third.

I’m glad you finally covered ESO! I absolutely love that game. I’ve dumped about 1,200 hours into it over the last 6 years. To anyone wondering if they should try out ESO, take it from me, yes you should. Just remember it is an MMO so it’s not going to be Skyrim Online. It plays like your typical MMO just set in the elder scrolls universe. Super fun game especially with friends. If you’re looking for a game with hundreds of hours of content and large scale pvp, I highly recommend.
@JohnDoe-fb8bz
@JohnDoe-fb8bz 2 жыл бұрын
Compared to other MMOs I've played ESO is definitely more "open" and single player friendly. I say that as someone whos played ESO consistently since the beta and still going strong. Before One Tamriel update it defintley played like a typical MMO where there was essentially Zone level restrictions and the game felt like it was on rails. Now there is no real "order" to the game and whilst you're 100% right its more fun with friends. As of now, ESO has never been more single player friendly with things like Companions and how easy the Overland content is. It's only really Vet HM DLC dungeons and Trials where grouping up is a must.

The only reason I can't play directly myself is because my graphics card is an outdated potato (so I just handed my account to my friend and they're streaming for me and following my backseat gaming instructions like some bizarre ESO Very Special Edition version), but even with that weird arrangement ESO is fun as HECK (both for me and my friend who basically has to indulge me in pausing quests every 5 seconds to go stare at the scenery for 10 minutes of me oooohing and aaaaaaahing). I'm getting them to run me through Clockwork City right now and it's *dope* . (In exchange I'm streaming modded Morrowind for them, since my potato's old enough that it's actually super stable, but just good enough that I can drag my slew of old, temperamental mods out and show them the Sotha Sil Expanded mod for comparison and contrast.)

ESO marked the start of major games as a service games decent title but ruined Bethesda for alot of people mainly due to the fact they butchered two fan bases with taking two major franchises and make them pay to play personally think they shouldve took one out of blizzards book and keep the MMO to PC and off consoles due to ruining their brands lore and fan base

@@SunBro_Talos Uh. DLC questlines have to be purchased via crown store unless you fork over $15/mo. for ESO+ which means for console players who also need to pay for the online service there as well, you're looking at like $25/mo. Just to have access to everything. "Purely cosmetic" my ass.

I never played the game, but I love the high quality artwork we get for some characters from the older games, like Caius Cosades or Gortwog. I only wish we'd gotten one for king Lysandus and other TES2 characters; it's a shame the best we have is one concept art piece, the bad CGI ghost form, and the camera recording of the Battle of Cryngaine Field FMV from Bethesda's CES presentation.

I swear TES Legends has amazing writing and of all of the stories are great. Btw, since you were confused about the main story, in the lore, after Oblivion everything pretty much went to hell (ironic) and the High Elves invaded the main land to capture everything for themselves, the emperor at the time, Titus Mede the second (the same one you meet in the Dark Brotherhood questline in Skyrim), works with you the main character who is a Blades member (pretty much the elite guard) to try and stop the High Elves. At the end, they won the fight but lost the war which ended in a truce heavily favouring the High Elves. You hear about these events (and pretty sure they're in a book too) in Skyrim but with the fact that the main character doesn't exist and all of his feats are instead given to the emperor cause the MC was just there by luck to help and they wanted to scare the elves by making the emperor look strong and fearsome. I wish the story of the protagonist would get adapted either into a fully fledged TES game or a show that uses the ESO trailers CGI for looks.

Legends definitely is one of my favorites. Not just for the stories (I bought Return to Clockwork City because I was impatient and wanted to play with its cards NOW), but the puzzles reminded me of the Challenges in Pokemon Stadium 2 in TCG form, where you have to think for a while about the mechanics and it's both a puzzle and a tutorial. I LOVE when it does that kind of thing. I still haven't completed one of the Solo Arenas yet, but when it's a Madness Arena I tend to do well-- you don't get a normal draft, it's selected for you randomly and you can swap things, so you're at the mercy of RNG and how many obscure mechanics you can pull off. Somehow I do best in that randomized madness, I think my best was 6 enemies before I got wiped out.

Everything about Redguard seems so cool except for actually playing it. 😅 I wish they'd remake it so we could enjoy the story, characters and lore without the headache of the gameplay.

Yeah ESO+ is great! Not only do you get access to all DLC, except the newest major expansion which would be High Isle, and you get crowns! You can then use those crowns to buy the DLC.

As an eso veteran. You are 100% correct about third person. The reason why is because it makes seeing attacks way easier and it makes positioning in fights easier. Ive seen some people say eso combat is bad compared to the other tes games which is just incorrect lol.

Nah. Skyrim isn't really an rpg anymore. Well never see a game like daggerfall or oblivion again. Its a populist game. Todd Howard keeps destroying the elderscrolls lore by dumbing down every game so it can have a wider audience.

@Niosai I get that. Before my family's laptop broke, we played Diablo II and III and Skyrim. I have a Samsung tablet that I got last month and decided to try Blades out. I am okay with the story and all that. I kinda like that you're an ex-Blade. It sucks that there isn't any long-range combat outside of the one-on-one combat, but it's what it is.

One thing i noticed is how much Skyrim has influenced the spinoffs that came out after it. With ESO the compass is essentially the same as Skyrim, and how in blades models are ripped straight from the game.

Skyrim to TES is what the MCU is to Marvel comics: Everything after it is gonna be based on it and be related to it somehow. I just hope that TES VI won't be Skyrim 2.

you can sneak archer in eso too all you have to do is use nightblade class (free) use shadowy disguise morph of shade cloak in the shaodw skill line. once you use this morph you can heavy attack with bow and get some crit dmg with some vampire skilling passives. i also recommend you use merciless resolve as another "Bow" from the assassination skil line
