Poptropica was super popular in my class in 3rd grade. Me and a boy in my class were the best at playing it and even shared our account info with one another so that we could beat any levels that the other couldn't. I played the game for years and was so dedicated that I even used walkthroughs to progress.

As a kid, I discovered the Big Nate comic series through Poptropica. Poptropica was an online role-play game with various islands. Your player model was customizable, and each island had its own games/challenges. To promote Big Nate, a Big Nate island was put in the game.

Strike force heroes is a full non-flash game and it's actually SO much fun, it's one of my favorite time sinks

I saw Fireboy and Watergirl and I was hit with an overwhelming wave of nostalgia. There are so many things in my childhood that I forgot about. I never realized that one day would be the last day I played some of these... oh how time flies.

Glad to see Electricman 2, that was always a go-to for me. The music rocked in that one. Strike Force got a few sequels if I remember correctly. The plot went interesting places. Impossible Quiz, a classic. Missing Sonny, Henry Stickman, uh, idk what else. Connor is missing out on a TON of Cartoon Network Flash games. The Scooby Doo flash games, the Summertime Resort one, the Dexter puzzle game, tons of others.

A bit of random Flash trivia. Flash runs exclusively on the CPU and doesn't support multi-threading, which means the games can run only as fast as your single core is. Funny thing is through the years single core performance has decreased as manufacturers stared instead putting more cores and more advanced computational units (which Flash doesn't support either) into CPUs. You actually would get better performance by using Flash on older PCs.

There's so many games which I can vividly feel that I played when I was a kid, but I cant describe anything about it. I will never find them again.

I used to play Fire boy and water Girl with my sister. We both had so bad coordination and just kept shouting at each other to not die. The nostalgia. Fighting over that single silver gem that appeared in some levels.

I think I'd describe it as my favourite childhood flash game with it's adorable premise and art style and simple fun gameplay. I rarely got to play it but whenever I did I'd complete it fully everytime. Mouse has some damn good flash game taste.

What made Boxhead fun to play was the feact you could play with friends. The first one may be weak, but subsequent games got better, which made it gold.

Playing with fire 2 was one of those games I used to play with my brother back on the school computers , and Boxhead was the game I used to compete with my best friend over what snacks we ate first after school!

IIRC the portal game flash came out before the portal we all know and love? and There Is No Game had a full version produced and it's actually pretty fantastic, it really delivers if you enjoyed the original version and very creatively expands on it's concept

I remember the age of war game, the dolphin jumping game where you can get to space and do tricks and stuff. The penguin flying game where you try to get as far as you can by upgrading like your paraglider. The zombie cricket game. the tanks in the maze game where the bullets bounce off the walls (this was competitive multiplayer so playable with friends on same keyboard.), all the various tower defence games, that one supernatural gang rpg adventure game which was really good but can't remember name of. I love that series of games where you have to click the items in a certain order to grow an island or something. I also like the angel and devil series. It would be nice for him to play old flash games primarily aimed at girls.

Electricman 2 is on my list of top games of all time. Which is weird bc I'm not into fighting games at all. But it just hits different if you can pull the final boss into the air in slow mo and blast him into a wall, finishing him off and winning the game. It just feels so right.

Mario, Arguz, Celeste, and The Last Stand were one if the best flash games I've ever played. I remember beating The Last Stand 1 as a very young kid, and I didn't know english, so I didn't know what the options were. Since I was very young, I didn't learn from the process of elimination either. I had to retry till I finally won through trial and error. I remember winning with barely any weapons. All I had at the end was the M4A1 and a Shotgun, cuz I'm pretty sure you get them for free from the soldier zombies in specific nights.

It looks really good. Some other games I really liked but aren't necessarily top tier to me: Gemcraft (chapter 0?), Desktop TD, Bloons (5?), Stormwinds The Lost Campaigns, Switch or Not, Mu Complex

I think Connor would really be into Fancy Pants Adventure, Mardek RPG, Monsters' Den, N Game, and just about any of the launch games like Burrito Bison or Learn To Fly.

It's crazy to see some of these games, especially now that a few of these have been upgraded into full steam games.

I used to be actually addicted to boxhead playing it for hours every day, me and my friend for a brief period held the second highest place cooperative score in the world, honestly that was one of my proudest achievement
