This an unpopular opinion but my favorite Top Spin was 3. Not sure why but the animations seemed so smooth at the time. I'm looking forward to Top Spin 2K25 for sure

Topspin 1 and 4 are the best. And yeah the sound design in ts4 is so good, like you said the racket hitting the ground or their footsteps when they run quicker

Topspin 1 surprisingly has really good character animations. It gets both Pete Sampras and Lleyton Hewitt's service motion down pretty accurately. Also, Sampras backhand and Hewitt's forehand look very accurate as well.

Topspin 2 roster is pretty accurate to the rankings during the time of it's release. Tim Henmen was probably already retired, but Guillermo Coria, Carlos Moya, Tommy Haas, Max Mirnyi, and James Blake were all top 10 players at one point.
