as a rep 70 nuxia, 7:29 was so nice to hear from a fellow box of culture. it's sad traps can't be used more effectively at the start of fights (or at all in gank fights), but using them towards the end of a 1v1 can be real nasty. Will never stop using this absolute dime piece hero.

The throw down feet where they fall can also make them fall on your finishing heavy as well. Also with the dodging feet even if you just dodge and throw an attack it still counts. Doesn’t have to be her dodge attack or deflect

I found the testin' grounds incredibly funny. On one hand you had Nuxia, who got some minor tweaks, just tinkerin' her slowly to see what works and what doesn't... And then Lawbringer got the super intense drugs to turn him into Captain America after a second.

As someone who mained nuxia and despite all the pain suffered while playing her I enjoyed it as well, mostly because she's so rarely played people don't always know how to fight it. Of course they can learn but, still have fun regardless.

I will say playing Nuxia baked makes the experience more bare-able

Just started playing nuxia a lot recently. Day 1 was great, had a blast playing only nuxia for 6hr straight since it was very different kind of experience. Next couple days i would still have fun but then, slowly i would start to descend into madness. The more i learned the hero, the more times i felt me losing a fight was unjust. People would do mistakes against me and if i were playing any other hero it would be fine. But trying to land a trap meant that the mistake they made punished me. There is no way to predict what button my enemy is going to press in panic, so most of the time i take a full load on my face for no good reason. It got so bad i couldn't play 1 full breach match for the daily order. I tried 5 times. The damage that can be caused in so short amount of time feels really good tho. Just remember to keep breaks when playing nuxia. It can ruin your day.

Nuxia Rework: - Forward Movement on all her attacks OR maybe just her light attacks (She needs more range. Her T-Rex arms can't hit anything over a foot away.) - Dodge Cancel Recoveries (maybe peacekeeper could have this too) - Un-dodgeable Heavy Finishers - Slightly Faster Zone and Heavies - Soft-Feint Dodge Out of Heavies and Zone (like Peacekeeper) - Improved Traps 😀 - Slightly Faster Trap Animations for Zone and Heavy - Perhaps a Bash Opener. If her traps are improved, this might not be necessary. - Better Stamina (This should be done for Peacekeeper and Warden too) Beyond that, everything else stays the same. Nuxia's ability to delay her attacks must stay in. She is still herself minus the fact she borrows from PK. Nuxia Feats: Give Nuxia Warmonger's Tier 4 Corruption. Any Caltrop Damage Heals Nuxia and Caltrops no longer damage Teammates. Perhaps Increase Range of Caltrops?

I wanted to add a suggestion to a nuxia change. I like almost all of the changes. The only one I don’t think should be added is the dodge recovery after traps. I believe it would be a little much from her duelist and mixup focus in my opinion, but the change I wanted to add is adding a trap mixup to her dodge light. Give it less damage and a different animation from the normal traps and I think it would be a valid opener. Right now I’ve seen people dodge roll and they are still able to parry the dodge attack so adding the trap would make this much more risky. I would also make the light and the trap go immediately into finishers as it could be too oppressive for newer players and getting light spammed so the chain would end with light light or trap light, but you could go into her trap mixups with the finisher heavy. It would allow her to semi open opponents to get to her mixups without adding a bash or a unblockable. It would fit with her style and it wouldn’t be a major change to her other than adding the animations. I definitely feel this isn’t the end of the conversation about it, but I think this would be an amazing change for her currently. Thank you for listening

I very much appreciate our conversation the other night Sol, and I definitely agree on the ideas you've shared. With the dodge changes, I don't think Nuxia needs an undodgeable heavy finisher anymore. I think what she needs is accuracy, her lights are only pokes and don't really add external capabilities. People tend to dodge the most when fighting Nuxias because their main assumption towards her are her traps for openers. I think her light animations should either chain from side to side, or her light opener could be side slice from her hooks. Jorm had that same problem as well, and i don't think it would hurt as an addition to her official rework. And i do believe her trap animations need to be sped up only to avoid raw heavy punishes just for using an essential part of her kit.

As far as her ornaments and larger ones, I always look if they kinda cover their eyes as you’re fighting someone if it’s a say “demon ornament” I imagine my opponent sees the demon face more then my character if what I’m saying makes sense.

I'm rep 30 with her and my Nuxia fashion is next level if I do say so myself! I missed the post since I don't have Twitter.😢 Yeah, the rework really did nothing, most people even on the live version don't react and just try to option select her traps anyway. However, a lot of the time I still do pretty well with her when, I think it's for a combination of most people don't know how to play against her since she is a rare pick, and her tier 2 is borderline broken, but hey she's gotta have something good! Also another lesser known bit of tech (unless they changed it), slip-through actually buffs her Caltrops damage if you keep side dodging and the opponent doesn't try to get out of them. It's true that traps are basically just worse unlockables, imo she needs the Jorm treatment, such as how Jorm's kit used to revolve around him being a stamina bully, they need to just replace her traps with something better so that it's not what all of her kit revolves around. If ubi doesn't wanna do this, which I 'm pretty sure they won't as they don't seem to care about Nuxia players as she's not picked as much as jorm. Then another option to make her more viable, would be to make her heavies become undodgeable if you don't commit to the trap. However, even I don't want this because it would just be another type of orange blue mixup, and we all hate fighting Tiandi's !

Her Takedown T3 does affect her Heavy Finishers as well. As for adjustments, I just want her zone attack sped up and made an Undodgeable. Perhaps a lil extra frame advantage after her normal traps would help as well. Also, deflects breaking HA is a need.

For Nuxia: I think that her traps should get hyper armor (specifically the zone trap), her top heavy finisher should get either the undodgeable or unblockable property (preferably unblockable since her side heavies catch dodges pretty well), and her deflect should get the bash property of breaking hyper armor. As for ms timing changes....I don't know, ask Freeze to figure that out.

Once during a game I ran into a pair of nuxias on the enemy team, they always traveled together, they would never attack the same enemy at the same time and they only ever attacked and blocked from top. Truly a bizarre experience.

I personally want her to have 2 different types of traps, those mix ups would probably be amazing. her second trap would basically be an undodgeable reacting to dodging and lights rather than parries and heavies(on the side of the trap) and should be harder todo than traps we have now. Again I just think this would be cool xD

I'm so glad for the changes for her. And the guard changes buffing her too. Before all this happened. Undecided she'd be the next character I'd get to rep 8 as I'm trying to do with the entire roster of playable heroes. I knew she'd be bad, so I wanted to just go ahead and get her out of the way. It took me 4 months... Compared to usually the 1 month period of grinding I usually do to get to that rep with the other heroes. Because A, I couldn't take her into 4v4 modes. It was absolute torture, I lost all my sanity after just two games. I want to love this character, I had so many good moments playing her in duels. But somehow, I always felt I was losing against the higher tiers just because they had better offense than me. And the static guard was so annoying. So, she was probably the second worse I've done aside from pre-reworked Shinobi... But still, maybe now I can get into playing her some more, sounds like it's decently better for her. Still think she needs something to open up the combat with. It doesn't need to be a bash or anything but still, I feel there's something that she needs.

Imagine if ubisoft just added a mini gamemode where you could adust frame date what moves can do etc adding extra moves though would just be a simple copy paste animation from another hero. Then you can post this in the game within this gamemode (like how with guilty gear strive you can search for new combos with characters in game, this should also be added), although this may just make it so they just go through this instead of improving on their own ideas

I had a Nuxia binge over the last week or so- one thing of note. While she does have to consider so much when using her trap mixups, this does not mean she has depth as a character to play as. Trap mixups are basically all she has in terms of depth. Every fight starts feeling the same, every mindgame and read starts melding together.

If you didn't know you can also delay her heavy chains very heavily, drawing out empty dodges and catching anyone going for an early parry. It is so good to catch people off guard and just melt their brains and keep them bamboozled. Also did they ever release the TG forums, I've been looking everywhere to fill it out and hopefully give some good feedback but I don't think they've released one.

interesting idea is to make her dodge forward some kind of heavy that she can turn into a trap, kind of like ring the bell, it would give her a decent opener

I think nuxia should be able to apply better pressure on people who flub a parry and hit her with a heavy for simply trying to use her kit. It would be nice to at least see superior block properties on the trap recovery. I hate being punished because my opponent is bad. The undodgeable on heavy chain finishers would force players to make a read. Traps do not chain (nor should they tbh), so nuxia needs some way to keep people on their toes. Right now if nuxia players never hard feint, a dodge is an end all be all for literally everything in her kit. This would also allow easier control of your opponents position and assist her slightly in ganks. I think nuxia should have a slightly easier time dealing with ganks defensively to increase dominion viability. This will at least help her stagger a few opponents to escape a group without having to resort to her 4th feat
