Fun fact, words like/sayings "Run", "Hide", "I'm scared", etc. have a higher chance of activating a ghost's hunt mode. So at the end there when they said "Run" & then the light started flickering & Sonia died, that's why.

I find it very interesting that none of them have the fight or flight instinct, none of them flee, and Sean straight up ignored the ghost being behind him and refused to find another alternative to flee.

The crucifix prevents the ghost from hunting, the glowstick is for handprints or places the ghost touched. (pls notice this)
