But I do agree with him, this series so fucking badly deserves so much more love than it gets here in the west. The artstyle,the aesthetic, the music, sound design, characters, character design, story, lore, gameplay, mechanics, just.....all of it is so, so God damn incredible, and unique, and has so much attention to detail, care, love, and genuine passion put into it by its developers. Splatoon has quickly become my favorite Nintendo franchise for very good reason, and I so badly want more people to feel the same way.

the levels you have to do: the 4 crater levels(at 4) dj octavio(at 5) the 3 main bosses(at 8) the 5 rocket escape levels(at 13) both phases of mr grizz(at 14 or 15 depending on how you count it) so, you need to beat 14-15 levels to beat splatoon 3. you can get power eggs from the level even if you don’t finish the level, so the first alterna level is actually optional

the final battle of this game always gets me so hyped, no matter who i’m watching playing it like- octavio coming in clutch, deep cut and the squid sisters hyping you up, Lil Buddy becoming a Beeg buddy, and then your character, no matter what they look like, standing there on the battlefield with a determined expression….there is nothing that can top that moment when you stare into the eyes of Mr. Grizz knowing that this will be his last fight (i love this game sm-)

That Manta Storm level is legit hype. That was one of my favorite boss fights from Sunshine, and hey, we've been saying since the first game that there should be some sort of crossover between SMS and Splatoon.

fun story in the tutorial area of the story i happened to not notice the entrance to the second level and replayed the first level 8 times until i managed to get to the third level, thanks to you alpharad i finally found the second level

The Sunshine manta-ray actually jump-scared me lol, I was that dumb kid who loved sunshine sucked at it and was quickly gated from progression by the sand bird and manta-ray (I was also actually afraid of it, so that made it even harder to try to fight). So despite having played Sunshine many times since then, this video has confirmed that i still fear it deep inside

But everyone should play the story mode it's full of bangers and is easily some of the best gameplay ever

Having played botw for far too long, i keeping thinking of the fuzzy ink as malice Heck you even strike a orb weak point to get rid of it and access more terrain

Octavio NOT being the main antagonist of the installment, and actual stakes that has the world depend on the heroes is definitely the step in the right direction. But it feels like Nintendo scratched the surface for this one as much as the DLC did. Not bad, it’s actually extraordinary for a story about friendships, music, and the mystery of life and I’d like to see more for S3’s DLC.

When captain 3 did the super jump without turning into an inkling (in the late game cutscene going to the rocket). Whenever an inkling or octoling feel intense emotions they'll produce a thing called special ink and it allows them to use the ink to turn into the special. Cause of the events of splatoon 2 octo expansion and the reason 3 was able to use all those specials is cause they took off the limiter for the special ink they can do any special and even make their own specials. Marnie can produce a special type of special ink called low tide ink and it helps with memory loss like in the splatoon 2 story mode with the hyposhades. Hope this cleared up stuff unless you know and it's been a while but like...who cares🙄
