This is not the real battle system because the main character cannot play football in this part of the story due to his heart problems. In chapter 2 we will get the real battle system. They are 5 vs 5 mini football matches, mini versions of the big football matches

One correction though. Inazuma Eleven was a game franchise first, and then they made the anime out of it. So for anime games (guess aside from 2d fighting games), they will remain uninspired for the most part it seems...

Just hope it aint a pain in the ass to recruit characters and make it simple like Strikers

@@JohnnyFish971 I doubt it’ll be as simple as strikers but I also doubt it will be as tedious as the GO games. One character was a GRIND and a half back then

Dude this is tame compared to the original Inazuma Eleven series. It goes from trying to save a school from getting demolished to saving the prime minister from aliens and straight up time travel.

If you think this is intriguing go watch the original Inazuma eleven and inazuma eleven go you'll be mind blown by half of the stuff that goes on there from start to finish

That's literally what inazuma is, there's not much of a competitive scene, and there's slot of postgame and content to keep you hooked for hours and a hell of a lot of characters to recruit,

It’s normal for Inazuma to give characters new names in dubs. In his case they tried to keep the same meaning which was why they went with Destin(y) Billows

The mc cant even play football and Bloomhurst only accepted football again at the end of the demo. I dont know what you expected from the game when in the school football is forbidden for now and the main mc hate football so cus he cant even play it- the game will get to the football aspect but character writing and story has to start somewhere. I dont mind the turn based system cus it makes the game more diverse but the rewards it provides is not justyfing the encounters.

i mean it's the first chapter it's just an introduction to the world and a few characters. Making a protagonist hate football then making him play just after doesn't make sense. but i agree that it doesn't need to take too long tho

@@Gojo-tl4rn See, if it was temporary, I’d be on board, or if they find a good balance with football gameplay, but seeing as there was the option for 6 party members to participate (which with the style of menu they have could get rather cumbersome) it seems this is going to be the main battle system outside of actual matches, and that really feels lame. Like I said, it makes in-story sense why, but… just hoping they make it a bit snappier or just rethink it altogether. At least the gameplay during matches seems to be great from this beta, so it’s not all bad, and if they manage to balance it out, It could be fine. For example, Globku implied that this Endo character will be a sort of ‘second protag’ so maybe we have standard football matches there instead of the new rpg system, so in that case I’d be okay with that.

I played the og 3 games when i was 10 years old but i didnt know english at that time so i was just skipping through to play matches lol.
