Climbing pebbles was awful when I did it, and the only dev tool I used was how you gain food when pressing q. It was a very difficult experience, but also you’d be surprised at how much food you can get from a single egg throw. It gets much easier once you get out of shaded and areas of five pebbles.

So, the only submitted speedrun, a 100% run for crying out loud, with this slugcat takes 7 hours and 11 minutes. That's parts hilarious and parts scary. Mostly because Survivor in that same category sits just below 3 hours.

Cycles starting early give you time to get food. You could also wait out the precycle for normal gameplay.

Getting to the leg from shaded already takes about a full cycle and it's a nightmare. Add rain and a red centipede and you've got hell.

I believe the dating sim is actually different from the one you talked about at the end! its even mentioned in the Spearmaster section, that it have a mouth in the first dating sim, but doesn't anymore.

They did 2 more streams of Sofanthiel and they did get to "Nachos will never be the same", however they weren't able to den and after a couple of bad decisions (partially because of chat) they gave up trying to play Sofanthiel as it stopped being fun for them.

It only took me 34 hours to beat it. I only had to turn on spear pulling and vanilla exploits. The trick is to avoid all the bad places you don't need to visit. (Exterior, 5P, GW, DS)
