If you think Blue Baby is really the worst character in the game (to each their own I guess, even if I have to disagree), you're not gonna enjoy his Tainted counterpart that much better. I half expect the next thumbnail to be "I take it back, this is the true worst character."

There's many videos on how tainted blue baby is commonly misunderstood as a character. I personally found him enjoyable, despite me having very low expectations at first. Literally, look up "tainted blue baby is underrated", and You'll understand the character.

@ZizixxSamurai T blue baby is going to be my first unlock when I go through ascent tonight just to absolutely confirm. Normal Blue Baby has 1. Temp hp only 2. Spawning flies on poop 3. Not being able to lose deal chance 4.Reduced hp cost in deals as a tweak, birthright giving more soul hearts per soul heart pickup iirc. Tainted blue baby has poop mechanics and replacing the bombs nerfs that a tad but also challenges you to learn an entirely new batch of abilities at your disposal.

@@ZizixxSamurai Personally, I myself don't view Tainted ??? as the worst character myself (mostly because I don't focus on much negativity when it comes to most things I play/enjoy), but I can see people having a hard time wrapping their head around their mechanics and getting some BS stuff like spawning methane clouds and immediately pulling out a fire poop to blow yourself up.

@@galaxylight777 The key is strategy. Tainted ??? can literally clear rooms just by holding cloud poop without releasing. However, the main damage should come from Tainted ???'s creep, as it gives You different tear effects (and stats!) if You stand on it, depending on the poop that is on top of the creep. You need Your pocket item for three things: creep, holy poop and rock poop, creep and holy poop synergize (star of Bethlehem effect), and Rock poop makes the creep retain the effects it got, even if the original poops were destroyed (basically rock bottom for creep tear effects). This should help a little!

One of my favourite items has to be dark bum! There usually are too many red hearts than you actually need and it's so satisfying to get them converted to soul hearts or pills.

Favorite Isaac item... since you specifically said 'fun factor', I'm gonna have to go with member card. It's insane how much value I've squeezed out of it before, one time I got Damocles for 16 cents on a Tainted lost run. It's just so insane.

@@MilanaLR it scales to be much stronger than Infestation 2. At 5 luck the proc rate is 50%.

@@MilanaLRAs someone already mentioned it scales off of luck and even tear rate. It goes insanely hard and usually carries games.

Oi lad, remember to use the poop as a blocker. It can block them running enemies. You block Space bar Walkable blocking. The running lads. Remember to use block to poop.

Azazel can only use soul hearts because he's really strong, blue baby can only use soul hearts because he's mid

But Azazel can get red hearts? He just starts without them, he's not like dark Judas or blue baby where he's restricted only to soul hearts. When you get an hp up as Azazel, it becomes a red heart, like he's straight up a normal character lmao

@@S_yIvie IIRC, Devil deals that cost 1 red heart get turned into 1 blue heart, and 2 red hearts into 2 blue hearts.

??? feels complete as a challenge character. he just isnt an interesting one. having only soul hearts is cool but hes not much besides that. as for my controversial take on quality 4s. it isnt really about any of the quality 4s. its that i think more items should be quality 4. i find most times that i pick up parasitoid and pyromaniac its basically a free win.

I am surprised Blue baby is your least favorite character. he is kinda boring but he is not like bad. just harder regular isaac. Before blue baby buff he had worst devil deals. Every deal costed 3 soul hearts. and destroying poops didn't give you flies. For me Tainted Cain is the worst. I even believe that he should be deleted from this game he's that bad. He is unfixable. he just dosen't work. Would be cool if they change him 100% from start. imagine doing boss rush or hush with this character. Also I rather play blue baby than Eve. for example. If you want with eve play with only soul hearts to have more dmg than devil dels costs you 3 soul hearts rather than 1 or 2 like it is for blue baby.

@@Dreamer-yo9wv the other recipe is 6 bombs and 2 gold bombs. If you commit 2 or 3 floors you can get it pretty easily

@@Ein_Bauer adding onto this, its much easier to get a cracked Tcain run then any other character (mostly, some exceptions) because of the amount of options you have, gnawed leaf + Midas touch, Gimpy/Old bandage + blood donation machine, as two examples
