Not gon lie, this is when gaming was hella fun. Day of Reckoning 1&2, NBA Street v2, NFL street 2, Def Jam FFNY, RE4. GameCube had some big bangers fam. And I still have one til this day.

I just finished up DoR & DoR2 over the last couple of weeks. It blows my mind how the GameCube games are rarely mentioned with HCTP, No Mercy, SVR 07 etc. The games are good and this story mode is the only one we've seen have continuation between games.

This and DoR 2 are two of the top ten wrestling games ever made

With this game, you could feel the impact of every single move, especially with submissions, which were a major pain in the ass for me to play lol. Both Day of Reckoning games were loads of fun, and I wish the series would have continued into current gen with multiple installments like 2K. 😁

I've said before that Day of Reckoning in my opinion has THE best cut scene beatdowns in any wrestling game. Oh and I haven't started the video yet but be careful about hitting the refs in this game because they get really aggressive and will beat the crap out of you.

Wrestlemania X8, Wrestlemania XIX, Day Of Reckoning and Day Of Reckoning 2 will always be beloved parts of my teenage years and my all time favourite wrestling video games. Later, i got SVR 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 on the PSP, SmackDown: Here Comes The Pain on the PS2 and TNA Impact on Wii but to me, nothing will EVER beat the GameCube WWE games!

I would love to see the story. Yea a couple guys from AKI jumped to Yuke's after No Mercy and they were the lead game designer on Yuke's Gamecube games. The renders from Day or Reckoning 2 look good for today. AKI's Def Jam Vendetta had the first 3D crowd in a wrestling game, DOR 2 had the first in WWE game and the turn to follow the wrestler as they walk to the ring.

I had this for the Gamecube. Day of Reckoning was one of my favorite wrestling games of all time. it had a uniqueness to it in terms of finisher and making your own character. That game introduce me to a few bands like Breaking Benjamin.
