Tbh I think that quote is completely wrong because if you play like a mess and play with emotions is that still insignificant? first you have to master the dynamics, the notes, everything. Then you add passion and emotion
@sekhmet7440
@sekhmet7440 3 жыл бұрын
@@awe331 Personally, I believe that you don't need to be a master to show and play with emotion. Mashing the keys certainly wouldn't be beautiful nor emotional (i.e. a lot of contemporary 'classical' composers, eugh). If one is playing with emotion and enjoying what they do for their own sake, not for others, does it truly matter if it sounds awful? Sure, they certainly wouldn't perform solo at a concert, but if it makes one at peace to play...

@gdoubleu8045
@gdoubleu8045 3 жыл бұрын
@@arthursoulza1 Depends what your ultimate goals are when learning your instrument. For example, practice time ≠ good song writing ability. Also playing in an orchestra is a lot less intensive than solo practice sessions when you try to play to the best of your ability. My original comment didn't mean only 20 minutes a day for the rest of your life. It just meant its fine as a good starting point, even for the first few years. If you love your instrument you will obviously go beyond that. 20 minutes is a good place to start, because you may decide you don't want to continue with learning an instrument...people's interests change over time, especially children's. Also, going too intense at the very start can be off-putting to people starting out (that is universal, from diets to learning).

Should write in pedal markings so that you know when to engage, basically after the first note on each chord change. Then maybe a couple of times on subsequent pages as a reminder. Remember to practice slowly to get the pedaling smooth.

Hi! Just wanted to give you some quick advice, maybe practice with metronome, because when it comes to the parts you feel more comfortable playing, you kinda lift the tempo way up, so maybe a steady tempo could improve your skill a bit. :) And I would suggest trying to pull your wrist lower, bellow the keys while playing, it encourages a more relaxed hand movement. :) Other than that, excellent progress, keep it up! ^_^
