For anyone trying to key-match samples that are in major and minor, you can always remember that any major key has a relative minor key, and it's 3 half-steps lower (or 9 halfsteps higher) than the major key. so for instance, if you have a sample that's in C major, and a sample that's in F minor, you can pitch the second sample up 4 halfsteps up to A minor and it should be in key with the Cmajor sample. Alternatively, you can pitch the Cmajor sample down 4 halfsteps to G# (Aflat)major and it should fit with the F Minor sample.

I'll be honest, I wasn't a fan of the vocal clip at first. She's got talent, but it just wasn't my subjective cup of tea. So to see how you transmogrify this clip I just don't vibe with into a sample that sounds so good to me is just fascinating. I don't know anything about music mixing or the proper terminology or jargon thereof, but I love how the beat and the song's more electronic sounding elements seem so chaotic and ordered at the same time. On one hand, I can never predict what's coming next, but once I hear it, it always makes sense in the context of the beat. This is super dope. What awesome work. I wish I could do this.

I honestly think that your beat-battle style of production, working under pressure with time constraints is your strongest suit. You work so quickly and make decisions like they are at your fingertips. It gives less time to think about the super granular shit and if you have your workflow locked in like you do, that's where the magic happens. p.s. that post hardcore screamo one by Josh was amazing.

Dope stuff. 🔥🔥🔥 Next time you have one in major and one in minor, have them both meet at a relative key. So If it's C major and C minor you can use the key of A minor (the relative minor of C major). Just keep the one in major where it's at. And pitch the one in minor down 3 semitones to A. Doesn't always work, but sometimes it slaps.

Haven't seen anything like it, I guess since its not common for samples to be in metal. Nothing stopping you from making a rock/metal submission for it like john at 11:40. Rudy Ayoub has his roasting viewers music series but it's just songs people have already made, he's more of a music critic in that though & I think you need to pay for his patreon to submit.
