I'm sure I read that Facebook recently changed it so that their API doesn't support third-party platforms soon... Which I think would mean that posting tools wouldn't work.

It's working fine. You can't post to groups and that's about it.

Mate your transition into that is all gonna pay off I think. Once restaurants, brands etc start wanting to collab with you :) I'm sure you'll nail it with the consistency, are you putting any effort into TikTok?

Thanks for the confidence in me. I post to Tiktok as much as the others and after a slow start it does seem to be moving now.

When you go into a bar or a cafe and you say "let's go in and have a look" do you A) ask the owner first if you can film then film after or B) don't ask and then film and if they get a bit shirty ask them if it's ok?

Mostly B. Usually after the video is up I will tag them on social or email them the link. I haven't actually done a bad review yet so everyones been happy - i've even had some free drinks and food when i've returned 😋

Great video! I also started making this transition to videos in the travel niche. You cannot rely on one source of traffic. How are you going to convert your viewers into customers/affiliates sells?

Great work, Alex. But for the music in the videos, have you tried uploading your tiktoks and reels and use their music libraries? I've heard that you can get a lot of eyeballs on your content when you're using trending sounds, etc. Although I know it's an extra step to take.

@@WPEagle by the way, I'm not sure if you follow Gary Vaynerchuk, but this month, his new book, Day Trading Attention comes out. This is all about every social media platform and how to best approach it, etc.

I got put on a facebook ban for like 90 days where i couldn't manage a facebook page or a group. They said it was because too many pages or groups I managed violated their policies. I checked every page and every group I managed and I hadn't violated any policies. Anyway I've got about 10 days left then I can manage facebook pages again. What I will do in the future is definetly have a "co admin" for a facebook page, in case it happens again!

I guess that's the worry with platforms you don't own. They can be taken away from you with a moments notice!

Also you mentioned you're doing the filming in portrait mode, but you also mentioned you are doing long form content as well. Presumably these are landscape? Do you film twice or do you have one default way then adjust it with software later?

Hey - most of the videos is for shorts so I film that vertical. For restaurant reviews I make longer video that I film in the usual wide format and then I re-purpose them for shorts. Here's how I do that: wpeagle.com/online-business/create-short-videos-from-long-videos-quickly/

May I ask, why haven’t you pumped in money on advertising yet, and when do you plan to do it, like if you will reach certain number of followers/likes then you will pull the trigger, or you’re just planning only the organic route.

I have been playing a bit with it, spending a few euros here and there. I will be using more of it for sure.
