Cameo!!! Scooooore!!! Really nice! I remember an old ad jingle ... You'll wonder where the yellow went when you brush your teeth with Pepsodent! Circa 1957 IIRC.

Those collar studs bring back memories. My first job was an usher in the 60 s. We wore tuxedos and paper collars. The only job I was fired from. I jumped from the balcony on a dare!

Oh man congradulations on finding that beautiful cameo. I will bet it felt great scratching that one off your bucket list. That is a really rare find and like you said in the video, that is why you dig all your signals. Also the 1961 silver dime looked like it came out of the ground just as shiney as the day it was lost. G'day Greg, That Cameo was a wonderful find, another item to add to my bucket list, which is growing faster than my ability to achieve them, a year or two ago, I found my first Model T valve stem cover, I had to research it to confirm what it was, That is when I learnt the name of the manufacturer, As in Schrader, A strange coincidence a few days later on the same permission, and maybe about twenty feet away, I I found a name tag that may have been attached to a small carry case, The name on the tag read Betty D Schrader, A coincidence I know! But it certainly had me wondering, but being in Australia, not a likely connection, Odd things sometimes happen! Once again an enjoyable outing with you, Cheers Mate!

Awesome finds. I have one cameo I found like yours. Research told me the older cameos had the women’s nose more pug like than the perfect nose you see on newer ones. Yours like mine has the pug like nose. Stunning find.

That Cameo is beautiful 😍 I found one like that ages ago. I was working under a deck of a old house, was looking for bottles and I saw a blue oval thing, I flipped it over and saw a woman face on it. HH and take care Greg 🙂

Cool hunt. What a bunch of fun finds. I have a spoon to match the fork at 12:00 minutes. Found mine at an old middle GA home site. Only reference I have ever found is from a ND historical site. Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks and it is always more fun when Chris can get out there with me. I think when a cameo pendant or brooch broke, they would pop the cameo out to save it before throwing the piece away. That would explain why they are so hard to find complete. I believe I've probably found over a hundred cameo pins before this one. They just didn't have the cameos in them! :) lol BTW, did you get my message about the coil? ATB Greg

Nice work guys!! Do you remember the TV show call Mayberry RFD? I think RFD stands for “ Rural farm district” but I’m not 100% sure. As for your cameo, great find! I’ve found two to date, one on a sterling ring and it’s the bust of Queen Elizabeth ll and the other I found on the cold harbor battlefield ( yankee trenches) that rang up a solid 7 on my Nox 800 and was about 8” down, the brass setting is so delicate it has started to crumble so I’m going to have it reset in sterling, oddly enough, they are both the same shade of pink like yours. Great job!

Hey Bob! Actually the RFD in the show did stand for Rural Free Delivery. I guess they wanted to stress the small town aspect of the town in the series. Huge congrats on your cameos.
