I Quit 275k/Yr Tech Job (The Ugly Truth About Remote Work)
Learn how I made over 200k+ in tech by the age of 25 for free: bit.ly/govtechworkshop
I quit my 275k/year tech job.
Yes, it was a good job.
Yes, the money was great.
And yes, I could’ve got paid even MORE.
But as you’ll soon find out, I still dropped it all, and said “I’m outta here”.
I’m making this video for anyone out there who’s currently in the same position as I was when the thought of leaving my high-paying tech job first crossed my mind.
If that sounds like you, just know you’re not alone - and it’s ok to quit. And as for those who have yet to get their first 100k+/year tech job…
Take this video as a reminder that sometimes, money doesn’t justify sticking around.
Odds are, YOU might eventually be put in the same position as I was in your tech career.
Matter of fact, you might even get the tech job you always wanted, only to realize that it’s nothing but a pair of golden handcuffs.
So stick around, I’ll give you the full rundown of why I quit.
Learn how to work with me to get into your first GovTech role: bit.ly/govtechhelp

This generation is so blessed, and a blessing to us Millennials! I remember being threatened to lose my job if I didn’t return from maternity leave early and now tech companies are allowing 12 weeks minimal with full pay! What a time ❤

3 months still seems incredibly little. I'm originally from the UK, but live in the States - in the UK, women get 12 months off with 9 months pay. There needs to be a similar law in the US.

@@shahartley I agree with you, but 12 weeks is definitely progress. I was fortunate enough to be off 4 months and returned working light duty for an additional 4 months while wfh. My manager prioritized my health over work responsibilities which would have never happened outside of the tech world

Well most jobs suck but most people don’t get tech job salaries. At the end of the day, high paying jobs like tech jobs can help you get into your true dream career/line. @@AllAboutPurple Not everyone in tech is getting a high paying salary. That's the misconception. Does it pay more than your average 9-5? I had to sit with this for awhile. Beloved, I do not know your pain but I have suffered loss. Our shared human experience binds us all to this season of emotion. The grief never leaves but it becomes bearable. In time you’ll be able to find and celebrate the lessons that each left you. You are stronger, fortified in the love of your grandmother, and your ability to be Vulnerable has enlightened you in affairs of the heart. Nurture and care for Symone then pour out what makes you so amazing and compassionate to others. We’ll be here. Thank you for your inspiration and for lighting the path to outward and inward gain. Your seminar today was phenomenal. Joy, cometh in the morning.

Physical and mental health is what's most important and if you don't take care of it, sooner or later it'll bite you in the ass and you might not recover. Im glad to see you're now working on bigger and better things Beez.

I’m happy you’ve dealt with all your issues. It’s sad to hear everything you had to deal with all at once! Nothing you said was easy to deal with. Just remember talking your issues out can really help you don’t let things stay inside of you and build up. Talk to your boss I’m glad you’ve branched out and doing your own thing

I'm sorry for all of the things that you've been going through. I just wanted to comment that this isn't specific to tech. This is life in general, and when you really think about it, work as we know it isn't really sustainable. I work in education and when my dad was sick with cancer and then died- I had to work as usual. I'd have much preferred remote work because showing up and being somewhere for hours when you are mentally struggling isn't it. And then everybody knows what happened and while well-meaning when they asked how I'm doing I have to keep it together and not cry. You are blessed to have an option to do something different because not everyone can.
