You never know when a future bullet journal video might pop up, but I am excited to be spending time each month talking about planning in new ways! Got any requests for systems/planners you want me to check out? Let me know in the comments below ☺

i found bullet journaling back in 2016 but only stuck to it for about 3 or 4 months. I overwhelmed myself with too much information and comparing to everyone else. I stopped and only got back into it in 2021. I still use the system but I go a week without writing in it or opening it. But I find that so normal so I don’t beat myself up over it anymore. I mainly use it to keep track of my finances and add to do lists when I have a lot going on. You may need to use multiple systems to keep some things separate. Maybe business wand personal? I think the GoodNotes app has so much to offer as well but can’t finger out the monthly link tabs hahah. Content idea perhaps LOL 😏

I originally came to your channel for bullet journal PWMs but as I've lost interest in those a bit, I have loved your shift to more lifestyle centred stuff. Especially now living as a woman in her 20s in Toronto, your content brings me so much joy and comfort and I'm glad you're prioritizing the content you want to make!!!!

For me, "Bullet Journaling" is a synonym for free planning. My bullet journal is always shifting on a spectrum between "bullet" and "journal". A year ago for example, I was using it for planning a lot because I was studying from home. Now, it is more of a journal with monthly spreads and me rambling on about my life - the good, the bad and the ugly. But whenever I'm ready, whenever I want or need to, it can transform back into a planner, a to do list holder, a system to help me organize my life. I think especially on KZfaq, you get the feeling that bullet journaling has to be done a certain way. But when it comes down to it, all it is is an empty notebook that can be used to cater to your every needs. Needs that are changing all the time. And your "bullet journal" can change with them and with you :) But I completely understand where you're coming from and where you want to be heading. I cannot imagine showing so many people what I do with my bullet journal at least once a month and still feel free to do whatever I want with it. When using your bullet journal, you're not only thinking about your own needs but what your channel and your audience needs. I came to your channel because of your bullet journaling content. And I loved it and will probably search for it when I want some inspiration. But I'm staying because of you. And because of that I'm excited for your new planning, organizing, lifestyle and whatever else you want content :)

I have been using an agenda or planner since I was 10 years old, now I'm 44, and when I discovered bullet journal it was like seeing the light at the end of a tunnel, I just love it so much! And I too came to this channel because of your bujo content. But, I stayed in it because of you, your personality, and your vlogs that I adore. I like to watch bujo videos but never took any inspiration from them, I just love seeing people get creative, and I have my own system that works for me. So, I will stay here ❤❤ Keep the content coming! whatever it is 😉

So, I started bullet journaling over 5 years ago and it was perfect for me.... until it wasn't. I get what you're saying. I truly, truly do. My life drastically changed. I went from being a stay-at-home mom of over 19 years and re-entered the workforce. I have since started going back to school. My time is so minimal now, I decided I no longer wanted to draw out my calendar or my weeklies so I ended up taking on the Hobonichi Cousin which is perfect! I have the monthly calendars pre-laid out, the weekly is ready to go, and I have a daily page for writing my tasks bujo style. I have really found my groove with that planner. It is truly my brain on paper. I do have a pocket bullet journal that I have started using to toss into my backpack to bring to work but it is planner peace for me. Even after I quit doing the bullet journal I still remained a subscriber of your channel because you have a fun, charismatic personality 🙂 I am guessing that most people will remain on your channel for the same reasons. Plus many (me included 😉) are pretty curious about what you're exploring now! Good luck, you do you for sure!

Once I graduated I tried SO HARD to continue bullet journaling. I ended up making my life harder to try and force it. Once I was out of school and in a 9-5 (at least for me) it over complicated my planning. I’m so excited for your channel and love all of your life, home, organization, stationary content ❤

I started "bullet journaling" years ago, but I didn't understand the concept behind it. I eventually went the pre-made planner route, using empty back pages for extra spreads I needed. I've been feeling disorganized lately: sad, demotivated, and more. I bought a small notebook for to-do lists. I decided to check out the bullet journal method from the library. I've been reading it and starting my bullet journal simply. I think it's been really helpful for me. I'm not putting the same pressure on myself as I have before, and it's made a huge difference

I've kept a bullet journal for the past 7 years, but simular to you I started when I was studying and had different needs. Now I use my bullet journal for memory keeping, keeping track of my habits and writing down non-work related things. I still love the creative process, but I found other ways to plan my (work) life. I honestly love all your content, so the shift doesn't change my love for your videos. I'm excited for what's to come!

Last year, I switched to planning in an A5 binder and I love it! It works so much better for me! No more repetitive hand drawn spreads, I just print or buy inserts I like, and even have the flexibility of creating my own designs too! I’ve also just started to integrate an erasable “daily” page where I can scribble my thoughts and tasks for the day with a wet erase marker to save paper. Working quite well for me so far! The beauty of planning is that it is a tool that can evolve alongside our needs! Do you, girl! Sometimes a planning system overhaul is in order and you gotta do what you gotta do! Would love to see whatever content you decide to make, and/or about this new chapter in your planning journey! Sending you love and light! ❤

I began bullet journaling way back in 2014 when I first discovered Ryder Carroll’s video about the method. After six years I switched to digital planners in 2020 when I bought a new iPad and Apple Pencil. I was strictly digital for 2020 and 2021. And now in 2022 I am a hybrid planner/journaler; I plan digitally and journal on paper. So all of my appointments, tracking, to-do lists are done digitally and my daily journaling and memory keeping is done in paper journals. Although sometimes I still journal digitally. I tend to go back and forth, so I understand the need for change. I started watching your channel for bullet journal videos, but I stuck around for your personality. Lately I’ve been watching your vlogs more than your bullet journal videos anyway. I would love to see you do some digital planning. I can’t wait to see what you have in store 🙂

I stopped bullet journaling last year and moved to hobonichi because I realised the spreads that worked best for me in my system were identical to the weeks. So that has been my new EDC for all of 2022 and will be in 2023. I also bought a cousin avec for the last half of the year and have been pretty consistent in using that for journaling and creativity. Change is good and sometimes its needed, so I’m looking forward to seeing your planner journey! ❤❤❤

i resonated so much with this video! i also started bullet journalling in 2016 but that was when i was nearing the end of my last year in high school, and when i moved to university, i felt so many of the same things you mentioned - the moving to a new place with no family, putting in work and not getting the same results as in high school, relating so much of my sense of self with my school performance, and all of the mental health struggles that come with that. bullet journalling really saved me and really served me for these past six years. but now i'm in a different place in my life where i'm finding that bullet journalling has become more of a chore and today i took the step in trying to find alternatives, which is how i'm only watching this video now. when this came up on my feed two months ago, i wasn't ready, but now i am and i'm keen to see where our respective planning journeys go! good luck caitlin !

Hey! I started bullet journaling in 2018. And I am still doing it. I had some moments or months where I didn't use it as much and my style has definitely changed but I still use mainly the bullet journal method. Recently I started to combine elements from bullet journaling with mindmapping in my bullet journal. Because the weekly spreads and the rappid logging into which my bullet journal had transformed didn't work anymore I have been making mindmaps of my tasks and projects. And for now this really helps. It was based on an idea from Sheng Hung (youtuber and god I hope I wrote his name right) and combining these elements has been working for a month now. So I am really proud for starting again! Apart from all that I can't wait to see where your journey will lead you. Planning as a tool needs to fit you and not you who needs to fit the tool after all. Thank you so much for sharing everything over the years! And I will be waiting for the new videos! Lots of love

I switched to the disc-bound Happy Planner system for the 2nd half of 2022 just because I was feeling really burnt out with bujos! It has been such a fun transition because it's customizeable with stickers and washi and pens, but the layouts are already there! I'm trying to figure out the best way to add yearly pages to this system! Thank you for this!

I've been using HP for 3 years now and I love the disc bound system. I was actually thinking about buju but with discs. I love that pages can be moved and if I don't like a certain page I can easily toss it and start over unlike a book bound or spiral notebook.

I started bullet journaling in January as I started the winter semester of my second year of university (with my second year being my first one in person because of Covid). I felt like the planners I was using didn't fit my needs and bullet journaling was the perfect solution. I completely understand the need for change and I am excited to see where this new chapter takes you!

I found bullet journaling in early 2016 as I was finishing high school and transitioning into college. I found your account shortly after and have been following you ever since, and your spreads had a huge impact on my college bujos. But, like you, I started to find I was using it less and less. Once I moved into my professional career, it just was not serving my planning needs anymore. I switched to having a sort of digital bujo system in notion, combined with my google calendar, and it has been life-changing. I don't regret bullet journaling-- it worked for me then-- but a lot changes in 6 years. I completely understand the need for a shift, and I can't wait to see your upcoming videos through this new planning journey. I'm sure your new content will continue to impact my planning just as much as it did at the start!

I found the bullet journaling method last year and I loved it in the early few months when I was too excited to adapt to the new system of planning but later than I found that it is just not for me because it was a bit overwhelming and time-consuming process for me. I don't like aesthetically unpleasing and simple spreads so I spent a lot of time designing creative and new spreads which made me quit I embrace the fact and decided to get a pre-made planner for this year which might work best for me. And last, I am so excited to see your new planning content.😊

Bullet journaling is definitely what brought me to you, but I stopped bullet journaling myself several years ago. I always appreciated your spreads because they didn't look like anyone else's (in the way that trends always seem to circulate so furiously in the community). I look forward to seeing your new stationery adventures. I have a similar story to yours -- I started very basic bullet journaling around 2015 and then got into the artsy / super customized bullet journaling around 2018. A few years back I had a similar revelation where I realized I needed change and I also needed flexibility. I use Notion now for most high-level planning but I still use a bullet journal for daily tasks and OCCASIONALLY a habit-tracking spread. I just really like the experience of building out a list of the things I want to do in a day in the physical realm. It feels more "real" on paper than on a screen, and I can still have a little fun with decorating (I use a lot of nice fountain pen inks and stickers). But, ultimately, paper isn't flexible enough for the many complex projects I have going at the same time. I need to be able to rearrange things and link notes and do calculations and you just can't do that easily in a notebook. I also like to use a weekly Passion Planner specifically for time blocking. I don't do any real planning in the Passion Planner, I just fill in blocks for when I want to do things on the premade timeline as a nice visual representation of my day.

I started to watch your videos in 2018, and I made the move from Bujo in 2020. I was using it as productive procrastination. I spent all my time making layouts but not doing any real work on my studies. I will stick around for your new adventure in planning. I moved to Jibun Techo weekly layout, then into the days. This year I am going to try working in a Hobonichi English cousin. All in one book. Though I love the day free, it stopped me from making monthly spreads, and just writing daily notes.

Hi Caitlyn! This video seems like a sign for me because I am in a similar dilemma, I’ve been doing bujo, since hs, but stopped it since I graduated college a couple years ago as I don’t find it fitting in the work and lifestyle I am in right now. I am currently job searching and jumping through jobs, and also the jobs I’ve been getting into is so sporadic I can’t really plan anything out, I even abandoned my little Hobonichi planner too, which made me sad. But this video validated my shift from bujo and how to navigate it. I might get back into it but have a less day to day aspect to more traditional journaling with a lil calendar corner and allow me to do a monthly/weekly spread for particularly busy times of the year. We will see. I am glad that you see change as something that isn’t scary, it as an opportunity. Something to really embrace in life 🩷 I’m happy for you and excited to see what else you will share with us! Thank you for being a part of this journey, even if it’s different, it’s still fun!

Hi Caitlin, I have been a bullet journaler since 2017, but I have tried other planning systems and I think it’s great to explore to inspire yourself and figure out what works for you and how you can combine what you love. I don’t think it’s okay to use multiple planner systems if they work for you in specific areas of your life. It’s about what brings you joy. I’m looking forward to the continuation of all your content and the new stationery/planner system content. Wishing you a fun journal as we learn about more planning systems from you.

I'd been bullet journalling for a few years but found when I had bad mental health periods, the entire system went down with me and I had a hard time getting my groove back. I've since switched to a Hobonichi Weeks and it's the perfect system for me. I have room for creativity at the side, lots of grid pages in the back for "spreads" and book journalling yet if I really need a bare-bones planner it's there for me too all ready to go! I'm here because I adore your lifestyle content, am also from the GTA, and while I'm quite a bit older at 36 I still find what you say to be quite insightful and inspiring. Truly just love your chatty vlog moments!

Even if it came as a shock to me, I get it... I did stumble into your corner of the internet because of BuJo, but I stayed because of all of your content. And I might add that I´m looking forward to you sharing a new planner adventure because it might give me some ideas. Although I love BuJo, I don´t have the time any more to create my spreads (I recently became a firstime mom), so I need a faster (preferably non digital) way of planning my days, weeks and months. So I´m all eyes and ears for new ideas! Have fun!

I respect this. Bullet journaling is great, but I have grown to enjoy your other content more than you’re bujo videos. I do still bullet journal, but I do a very basic, almost minimalistic one because that’s what works for me. I’m glad you took the time to talk to us about your planner journey. 👍🏾

I started bullet journaling in uni like you. It was a way to organize a uni course which was never the same week to week as well as all the deadline that uni alway has. I also was a way to remind me to do art, as a science major art alway felt frivolous even though it was really important for my mental health, having it in a item I used everyday stopped that and meant I could have the creative outlet I craved. After finishing uni my planner has become more straight journal like as future planning doesn’t really work at the moment, but having a outlet is still so important to me.

I found your channel when I was in senior high in 2018 and only starting to get into bullet journaling. Now I'm a college junior and I agree with your sentiments, sometimes a change in your systems is needed to be more focused. I stayed because of your lifestyle vids, and you are so brave for making this video! Looking forward to more and new content, best of luck to your new planning systems 💗💗

I've tried bullet journaling a few times, and while I've always enjoyed it, I couldn't keep up with the time commitment of making new spreads regularly, even super simple ones. I ended up feeling like I was making more work for myself rather than making my life simpler, even though I enjoyed the spreads I made. I'm now using a journal by Appointed and I absolutely love it. I have never been able to keep up with regular weekly scheduling, and now I have. I'm glad you are doing what is best for you! ❤

You are making a shift and I am here for it! I started watching KZfaq specially for BJ content probably around 5-6 years ago. I tired bullet journaling for about 6 months but college got in the way. Now that I am older, married, on my own basically and doing life, I found myself wanting the organization but wanting something quick and easy. I am BEYOND excited to see what path you take as I am hoping maybe there is something for me and my needs. I fully support it :)

I've been watching your channel for years and I too have quit the bullet journal. I seemed to always go back to the BuJo but in my current work role and stage of life my needs have changed and it just doesn't work. And that's OK. I'm now in a leadership role and really need a task tracker more than anything else. A lot of the spreads I used to do are now either irrelevant or ingrained in me and I don't need to write them down any more. I look forward to seeing where you take things.

I'm new to bullet Journaling and to your channel. This is the first video I'm watching oddly enough. But I get what you mean. I felt the same way after doing Passion planning got a while. I'm liking the bullet Journaling because there's no pressure or preset templates. Just the index and key and bullets. So I'm excited to give this a try and hope that this will be good for me for a while. I'm excited to learn more from your page and see what you do next!

To everyone, Maybe it helps to watch the videos of the original BulletJournal channel and its creator Ryder Carrol. The original purpose of BuJo is mindfulness and making life easier and simpler instead of more complicated ❤️ It was not initially intended to neccessarily be a way of artistically designing your own planner. It is supposed to help you reflect on how you use your time and what really matters. Years ago, I also found out about and started BuJo with the idea of making an artistic colorful planner. But at some pont I grew tired of it. At the start of this year, I gave it another try and came upon Ryder Carrols videos, and learned what it actually is about! Now I'm using it almost daily, without any pressure or stress, and it has helped me so much! ❤️

Oh gosh, I can’t even remember when I first got into bullet journaling. It’s been at least 5-6 years I think! I relate to your feelings around it though - I graduated college a few years back and my needs have really changed. The spreads I do now are much more simplistic and basically running lists of todos and such, but I have been wanting to try something new as well, I just haven’t figured out what. So I’m definitely excited to see what you’re experimenting with!! And I’m really happy that you’re happy diversifying your content and chatting about more lifestyle stuff because navigating your 20s is a wild ride and we’re in this together 😂❤

As many people probably, I found your channel because of BuJo but it wasn’t why I stayed. My journey with bullet journals began my sophomore year of high school (back in late 2018) and loved the amount of customization and flexibility I had available. But I’ve decided to stop because I don’t have the time commitment or the passion for it as I used to. I’m actually really happy for you and am excited to see what’s next, especially because I’ve been at a lost for planning. I’m hoping to see more digital, customizable ideas :)

I, just like many others, originally subscribed to you when I was getting introduced to the bujo community and was intrigued by it. I did start my own system in 2017-2018 but it lasted only that year, and I didn't really use it often in that year either. It honestly became quite a chore for me, and I was a bit intimidated by the aspect of it, which I know this is due to all the beautiful and intricate spreads I would see... and those spreads making me feel like I had to do MORE with my bujo, when I know now that I didn't have to. I loved your shift into other content on your channel and ended up subscribing to your newsletter because I feel like the topics you bring up and the advice you give is incredibly useful to me as I navigate life after graduating from university in December of 2021. I actually use a digital planner on my iPad through Goodnotes now and I don't always fill it out, but I don't let that bother me anymore because I know my life does not depend on whether I filled out the planner or not. I'm glad you are comfortable sharing these sentiments now and look forward to any content you put out for us 💖

I went through a similar thing my freshman year of college, I'm sorry you had a rough time but I also feel validated that I wasn't alone in that experience 🖤 I've tried so many planners and systems over the years, including bullet journalling of course but I just never had the discipline you do to stick with it for more than a couple months at a time. For 2023 I'm returning to a pre-made planner I've used in the past that I liked a lot (the Passion Planner), but also want to pair it with something like Notion. I'm so excited to go on this journey with you and see what you discover works for you!

I personally started bullet journaling in 2018 and I was obsessed with making beautiful layouts with cute pictures everywhere. Then I stopped completely after 2 months. But I came back to it in 2019 with the realization that I didn’t need my pages to be beautiful, just functional. I started to only make a monthly cover page pretty while everything else was more true to how the OG Ryder did theirs. Haven’t looked back since. There are so many cool planning systems out there and I can wait to see what you try!

I totally understand where you’re coming from. I started bullet journaling when I was in high school. At first I had a rocky relationship with it but I remember really falling in love with it once I found my style. I loved watching plan with me’s on KZfaq and that’s also when I started following you. Mainly for the BUJO and stationary content but it’s been really fun getting to you through the vlogs and your blog. I’m in a similar situation as you are in right now. I just graduated with my bachelor this past fall and since then I haven’t really been using my bullet journal. Although I still love it deeply, it’s just not the same. I’m planning on taking a little break from it but eventually I think I’ll return using it once I figure out where bullet journaling fits in my life. It’s a little bittersweet knowing you won’t be doing BUJO plan with me’s anymore but I’m looking forward to the new content! 😊

I started bullet journaling in 2018 and did that for two full years. I loved it for that time💗 Then I felt like it was too much to draw the same things every time and it felt like work instead of something fun. I missed the structure you get with a printed planner, but at the same time I loved the flexibility with bullet journaling! So I ended up on the disc planner wagon, mostly the Happy Planner, but I want to explore the brands and possibilities even more and have started making my own printables! I LOVE this system and have finally found planner peace🙌🏼 I’ve really enjoyed watching your videos even though I stopped bullet journaling and I’m excited to see your journey with planners! If you’re like me, wanting both structure and flexibility, I really recommend the disc system!☺️
