That's a very nice insight. I too want to become though not the best, one of the best teachers. But, you showed clearly how necessary it is to develop self-assessment metrics to evaluate humanly how well we're doing.

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Davide 🙏 Since childhood, I've been torn between the teacher and the writer professions, and then somehow after uni I stopped dreaming about writing. I've become a teacher but I never wanted to be the best in my profession. In my opinion, those are a rare breed and you either are or you aren't. Setting goals can be quite tricky. The thought accompanying me was to be a good one, being everything I loved in my teachers&professors and avoiding those traits I hated. I love teaching teenagers and I respect them, that's maybe why they respect me back and try their best to learn German though some of them have been traumatized by their previous experience.

Thank you for sharing!! I'm sure many people can relate to your story. I was also in a tough spot when I was at Microsoft years ago. I was there for 3 years and it was a dream job that I pursued. I thought I was going to build my long career in tech. After the 3rd year I was completely burnt out and my health was on the downhill (physical and mental). I'm really glad that I left that job and never looked back.

Teaching is really hard, you are giving more than 100% to it. We all have different calling, Davide. Thank you for your story. Im studying to be a teacher and i live here in NZ. It's been my dream job/profession that's why im pursuing this one. Good luck to your new career! But remember that man's true passion never sleeps and happiness is into it. Take care! Hallo Davide! Danke für die Einblicke in deine story. Ich hab viele der Videos auf deinem anderen channel geschaut, obwohl, oder gerade weil ich auch mit dem Beruf hadere. Fand deine Tipps da sehr hilfreich. Cool, wie du es jetzt geschafft hast, eine Pause zu machen. In der Schweiz ist man als Lehrer nicht verbeamtet, oder? Der Weg raus und wieder rein ist also einfacher als hier (D) scheint mir...
