As much as I like your usual car content, I actually really like these videos as well. I find it really interesting to hear your story and how you feel about leaving a “good” job and it’s security for something that actually makes you happy. Also I really like the format you do as well. No face camera or crazy reactions for the viewers. Just a POV of driving a cool car while you talk about it and also life. It almost feels like going for a ride with a friend

Man this spoke to me on a deep level. I'm a student at ASU and in my management class we're working on a project where we interview managers about motivation. Across all the interviews I've conducted the common theme is finding a sense of purpose. Many are significantly happier doing something that fulfills them and pays less vs something that pays much more but left them feeling empty. As someone who wants to have time freedom and loves cars, this video was exciting but also realistic. I've watched a few of your videos today and enjoyed them all. You've earned a new subscriber my friend.

I fully understood your position. I was also a mechanical engineer, designing stuffs for a Japanese motorcycle company. Even R&D job that seems to be fun and creative, it was actually not. Left all that and making small bicycles for my own as I exactly want to is much more joy and pride and peaceful. Making less money doesn't mean less happy if you have no debt and not chasing the crowd.

1:49 the noise of that starter, the engine shaking the car a little at the first revv and then the door clanking shut with a mechanical noise just took me back over 15 years to when my uncle took me on a ride in his convertible of that era. A 911 is just so much more than its classic skin.
@hpfza

I made the exact same move couple of months ago. Left the dead end job to pursue happiness. The best way to describe it is you basically start over again, like from the bottom. You make less money, but you have more time. I also had to move back in with my parents, also just breaking even every other month and also working my butt of trying to get my company off the ground. In addition to the new challenges, my project car broke down BIG TIME - I basically need a new engine as the damages sustained would cost more to fix than a low mileage import motor. But it's like you said, if you don't find any pride in what you do life becomes dull. I have no idea how this will work out for me, but seeing someone else do it is inspiring.

This is gonna grow, no doubt. Your idea is perfect, the execution is great, the cars are amazing(the lancer evo 1 was amazing to see). I was also currently in a situation where I had to decide whether to pursue what I love doing or a secure job and life, so I definitely understand the fear about it and the dedication required to follow through. This was really inspiring, keep it up man, I'm subscribing after 3 videos and I'm here for the ride.

Props to you for taking this leap of faith. Recently gave up medical school to follow my genuine dreams. Time is such a valuable asset in life and if you’re not happy doing the work you’re doing, what’s the point? Do what makes you happy and you won’t regret it one bit. Nothing worth having comes easy.
