Hey everyone, welcome back to Celeste! Celeste is a pixel-art platformer infamous for its punishingly difficult levels, and today we're going to attempt to beat the more difficult "B-Side" levels. This is gonna suck.

49:38 That's a reference to Super Mario Bros 3. There was a bug / easter egg where if you held crouch on a block that looks like that, you could fall behind the level, and wouldn't collide with anything and could run straight to the finish

@@BewilderedCitrus Hey, my dad did the same. I even remember where and which level (1-3, behind a white block near the end). He also had the tiny little note booklet that came with the game and had it filled with all the different iterations of the memory game, how the N cards moved etc.

So interesting to see people having trouble with different screens and solving puzzles a different way than you did! I shockingly didn't rage too hard at 3b but oh my god the golden ridge b side almost made me stop playing entirely

Yeah, just like on classic cassette tapes from the early 90's, if you're flip the "B-side" over and play them, you get even more songs on the C-side, since they had been printed on real 4 dimensional objects instead of digital computer files.

Woah, a new Celeste playthrough?! I haven't seen one of these in years! I have the game myself and enjoy it quite a lot, but have only seen playthroughs on older versions of the game before. Love the vid Therm!

honestly the c sides werent that bad for me, they were hard but they were really short so they were quite fun

@@mappplesirrup8473 Well yeah, but they're a different difficulty for a lot of people, especially if you know all the tricks before going into them. So far I've done like 4, with an average of about 120 deaths.

i know im replying to a year old reply, but anyways,@@novan6052 thats actually pretty good, i have like 200 ish per level and somehow on 7c i did it in 20 minutes with like 80 deaths

Is it bad that by the time I was doing (and also completing) Farewell, I was completely impervious to rage? Like.. I feel like I should've been raging at it, but all I was thinking was "That's progress!" and "I can do this!". The B-Sides have prepared me well.

I don't know if you're still interested in Celeste, but it would be nice to see you play more of it! There's still a lot of content that the game has to offer, (including chapters 8 and 9, as well as c-sides that you unlock after a certain point in the game) and it would be really entertaining to watch you play them! Most people are; but it's exceedingly charming and encouraging, and the Assist mode is basically a customizable difficulty setting. Deaths rarely feel unfair or very punishing, and you can often measurably see your personal improvement even as you struggle.

I just checked my save file today and I have around 2000 deaths … 1000 of those is from the hotel 😭 Needless to say that was my least favorite level.

hello there, Therm! heres my little tutorial step 1: jump in the air step 2: dash diagonally into the ground when you are in the air step 3: IMMEDIATELY jump once you dash into le ground step 4: you should get your dash back and get a good boost, if not, then you started too low/high from le ground, don't stress about it happy wavedashing! (go you)

Am I the only one that's confused as to why all of Therms progress from the last Celeste episode is gone??? I swear I watched a three and a half hour Celeste video about Therm going back and pretty much completely finishing the game (except for the core) Like, even though in that last celeste video he went through and collected the last of the strawberries, he's going back and getting strawberries again here??? I'm so confused, can someone please explain

I have NEVER played a platformer before I bought Celeste 2 weeks ago and now I'm utterly obsessed. There's a super cool assist mode feature if you're interested in it! :D really helped me get the hang of things and now I really enjoy it. It's always up to you tho ofc

People keep saying this after seeing the bonus content. The A-sides are sufficient, and berries are explicitly stated to be optional. Though if you are more of a completionist, i can understand the concern.

I like the way he searchs for the answers in the internet and them pretend he discovered it by himself. Not in a million of year he would discover the screen change hidden mechanic by himself and use it to get the crystal heart so naturally. Not subscribing. Next time, be more humble.

@@ThermChannel I am giving you an advice. You did not discover the screen glitch by yourself. People dont want to watch an extreme skilled content creator (unless you trully have that level of skill), people want to see you play real unless you want to make a fake show. Put your ego aside.

Just because he knew a game mechanic/how to do something, doesn't necessarily mean he searched it up on the internet. Next time, listen to what is being said in the video before you complain about it.
