My top bosses based on category: #1 Overall: Radahn. He has top-tier lore, visuals, and music. Also fighting a living legend to give him an honorable death with a bunch of other warriors is excellent and the festival is so hype. Out of all the bosses, he is always the one I am the most excited to fight, even after I've completed several playthroughs. Visual aesthetics: Placidusax. Other dragons lightning always hurts my eyes and looks weird, but in his arena it works so well. Also his laser beam is the single coolest looking move in my opinion. He really feels like if you fought him in his prime, you wouldn't stand a chance. The atmosphere in his fight is just amazing. Mechanics: Elemer of the Briar. His fight is just classic souls-like "big guy with sword" with the added twist of his ranged sword attacks. 0% BS, all skill and game knowledge. Every time I die to him, it feels like a skill issue not a balancing issue. Lore: Gideon, The All-Knowing. His actual fight is mid at best, but the way he acts like a wise guide for most of the game, then you learn he's only been helping you as long as you don't get in his way is excellent. Especially if you've done enough side content to learn how horrible of a person he really is. He is not just a boss that you stumble across in your adventure, he actively puts himself in your path as a challenger. Sound Design: Mohg, Lord of Blood. He sounds so nasty when he attacks, which is perfect. His countdown and Nihil voicelines are fun and immersive, instead of just being one voiceline for an intro then another for phase transition. Also, the subtle groaning of Miquella(?) when he does certain things just adds to the uneasy feeling of fighting him. Bonus points for his great music. Best repeating boss: Tree sentinels. I never don't want to fight these. Other repeating bosses feel cheap, yet for some reason not the Tree Sentinels.

Crucible knight is an S tier boss imo

Black knife is confusing because his lunge attack is actually delayed. The attack comes out like a quarter second after it looks like it comes out.

I agree with this list! Once you figure out & learn to properly defeat the boss that you struggles the most you will notice that you've unconsciously improve as a player. Thus you will appreciate that particular bosses. P S. For me 8hr Malenia summonless challenge is the turning point of my gaming skills, so thus parry only Crucible Knight and Bell Bearing hunter.

I would like Morgott much more if he wasn't SO DAMN WEAK!! He need to have twice more HP then he does now. Because every time I encounter him he either starts second phase with 10-20% of health or dies almost instantly because he has no health and no resists. Even first time I beat him very fast and I didn't learn his moveset until I willingly wanted to do so. And he spends a lot of time in scripted animations.

I guess the hype is real for bloodborne.

Bashing your head into Malenia's bs is the reason I think it's not just "going against the grain" when people argue that she isn't S. The heal isn't even bad but you just can't ignore the elephant in the room. Waterfowl and the spirit move are both cheap. And they're not as cool as nihil.
