Some thoughts from a 47 year-old American: When you put out your first ten songs, I burned them on CDR in release order and listened to them during long drives. Now that you're up to twenty, I continue the format, and can not imagine doing it any other way. "Slow Down" is exactly what I want to hear when backing out of the driveway, and hitting the highway as "Him" comes on gets me psyched up for the ride. I can't imagine skipping anything, because there's always a hook in each song that I can latch onto and say, "oh yeah, this is THAT one". The gap between good moments is never very wide, but again, those are just my thoughts. I'm sure that by the time you're up to thirty or forty songs, I'll end up chucking some away, but as it stands right now, it's all gold to this old fella. Sappy side note: A couple of years ago, I was starting to lose the love of my life to cancer, and had to get used to riding long distances in the car without her. I'm glad I had those first ten songs to help get me through that. She's been gone well over a year now, but at least I have another ten songs to take on that lonely road with me. Thank you for that.

I agree with all of these EXCEPT So Long. As Jimbo said, he felt restricted to stick to the live version while recording, but I do also think it is still an incredible song and one of my favourites from any artist, not just James. It is beautifully written and works really well on the album. I understand what James is saying, but I am still SO FREAKING GLAD that it's the way it is.

Where has everyone gone is such an amazing song. I relate to it differently, because my mother has been in and out of my life, my stepmother was my solid for 12 years but then she left and took my toddler brother and my little brother isn't allowed to see me because of our mother. I was, and probably still am, confused and heart broken, because I was a prodigy at my school and in my grade, so I couldn't understand why I wasn't good enough for any of them. I play it often, and my favorite line is always that last screaming verse that sounds as desperate as I feel. GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOUUUU-
