Something to Crow About sucked especially when you reached Crow's Mansion. What's that? You ran out of ammo for your Electrotool while you were powering the bridge? Well it looks like you're shit out of luck my friend. Doesn't help that even before that, the level just felt tedious to play through with the Goliath robot boss fight.

Agree with pretty much every pick here honestly. Favourite level has to be Scotland the Brave for me, I love the atmosphere, music (especially the tank boss music) and the return of captain ash! TS2 will always be Siberia for me, so much nostalgia, the music is amazing and it's a great introduction like you said. TS1 is chinese, it's just a classic, what else can I say.

So Timesplitters 2 is better than the other 2, its the only one ive played, but i am gonna play the other 2 someday

Never played 1 2: Every single level is S-tier even on hard (I like hard games), I know hot take, game is perfect FP: Mixed bag but I think hard mode Scotland, Mansion, Khallos Express, Breaking & Entering, U Genius U Genix, Something To Crow, You Take The High Road are S-tier.

For TimeSplitters 1... I feel like just beating the levels normally, it's not that big of a deal. Even Mansion on Hard. I found that level to be... "Meh" in terms of difficulty. Once you know tricks, like quickly blasting gun zombies to make them drop the gun, and firing around left-hand corners, it's really not that tough. And on Hard, just beating the levels typically gets you both rewards unless you're really, REALLY slow for some reason. Nah. The real tough part of TS1's campaign are the Speedrun trophies. Those things are nuts. Ironically normal difficulty levels are harder than hard mode levels for this reason. Especially silly nonsense like Spaceways and _friggin Chemical Plant._ (literally the last thing I completed to 100% TS1... Stupid friggin cheap shotgun AI... Yes, I did Space Vandals before it...) Atom Smasher, man. That level gave me fits during my first Hard playthrough of the game. Every other level I beat relatively easily (with one exception), but Atom Smasher. My God. It was such a bizarre ramp up in difficulty compared to everything else, it was ridiculous. I feel like the thing with Atom Smasher is that it's got so many things weighing the player down that it becomes overwhelming. Ridiculously strict time limit combined with very fast paced action and lots of vicious traps. All of that combined makes the level extremely brutal. It's such a difficult level that even on the far tamer Normal difficulty, it's still vicious. I really consider it the Aztec (the GoldenEye 64 level) of the TimeSplitters series. It requires memorization and very strict planning. Not helped by most of the armor being stuffed in various corners that I never knew about until someone else told me. (After I had beaten the level on hard... ;_;) Meanwhile Robot Factory is the big meme level. The one everyone says is really hard but it's really not. I literally beat it my first attempt on hard lmao. It really is just an exercise in staying cool and taking it slow. It's the complete antithesis of Atom Smasher in that regard. And when you get the Lasergun the game should give you the GG right there lol. Some idiot on TVTropes said the Lasergun was... A bad weapon? Like, what? Did they ever even use the thing? Space Station shocked me with how brutal it was to me on Hard. On Easy and Normal it's literally nothing, but Hard? Holy crap. The time limit is extremely strict (thanks to the stupid padding in the level like running back and forth across hallways and that stupid shooter section) and its filled with gun turrets and scourge splitters. I remember vividly one of my attempts that failed because I ran out of time _as I was getting in the ship to finish the level._ That made me hopping mad for a good bit until I finally beat it. Meanwhile Future Perfect was basically a flatline in difficulty by comparison. Like... Some of the levels can be kind of noticeable on hard I guess? The only ones that gave me any actual trouble were Something to Crow About and The Hooded Man. Everything else was just... "Meh".

Nice to see you back, Emo. I checked this one out last night while sipping a whiskey. Figure I'll drop my favorite level from each of the three games just to share. Timesplitters - Village The creepy small-town feel combined with the freaky mutant enemies come together in a really engrossing way for me. Music is one of my favorite tracks of the first game, too. On the downside it's fairly easy to beat in terms of challenge though. Timesplitters 2 - NeoTokyo Futuristic Tokyo with awesome music. Nuff said. Timesplitters Future Perfect - Mansion of Maddness Atmospheric and unsettling to the maximum. Everything comes together in this level (from music to atmosphere) to make a truly creepy vibe that I've remembered ever since playing this game as a young kid. That, and Joe Beth is literally the best and worst thing in the world. Awesome video! Thanks!

My favorite maps are Timsplitters - Spaceways & Village Timesplitters 2 - Notre Dame, Siberia & Chicago Timesplitters 3 - You Take The High Road & Scotland the Brave The Maps I hate Timesplitters - Mansion - The challenge is intense specially when the zombies refuse to die when you them any where except for the head. Timesplitters 2 - Return to planet X - The Lasers you will lose 50% to 100% shield in one shot because the Laser fly so extremely quick and makes it hard to keep health intact. Timesplitters 3 - The Hooded Man - I just do not like escort mission specially when Timesplitters run so quickly while being invisible and you are trying to defend yourself from high ground.

Future Perfect has weirdly inconsistent levels; a lot have really good or really bad parts. Meanwhile, I feel like T1 and T2 levels were much more consistent overall, except for maybe when T2 had sucky turret sections, and when Neo Tokyo stopped being several minute of waiting. It might just be due to Future Perfect having generally longer levels.

3 is probably the best but also the one that has aged the most since it breaks with the games more traditional and classic formula often

Village is a TS1 level I feel immersed in.

I played Future Perfect first, so Scotland the Brave is to me what Siberia is to a lot of people. Also, Russian Connection is cool because of the espionage elements, references to Austin Powers/James Bond, etc.

There's nothing wrong with exploration in fps games.

Timesplitters Future Perfect Is The Best for the storyline but TS2 is the best in general IMO

I've almost exclusively open played TS2 do all the higher tiers would be TS2 for me, lol. With a special God Tier for Siberia.

Just saying Atom Smasher should be S-tier below Siberia. It's iconic and the difficulty makes it exciting to beat for the first time... Hooded man was a great concept with terrible execution. It could have been interesting if you had to get on that big alien ship and take it down from the inside...

I know most people wont agree but Machine Wars is one of my favorite missions for all 3 ts games

Siberia and Mansion of Madness are my favourites. I can't stand Aztec, though. I hate the puzzles and the boss fight with the near-invincible golems.

Future perfect is great but nothing beats the first 2 games (IMO)

I am too biased, I would give every TS story mode map at least a B since TS is my favorite FPS series ever. I enjoy both the easy and super hard ones, gives a good balance...except Atomsmasher...it gets a D or an F depending on my mood.
