They used to go after a lot of japanese talents + experienced Bundesliga 2 players, but have been shifting their recruitment to go after talented players from smaller european leagues + forgotten talents in big leagues + young but experienced players (24-28 year old range). Rebuilding small teams is so much more fun, especially from leagues that no one really uses. For example, I turned vålerenga in Norway into Europe’s best. Most fun I’ve ever had playing fifa and even now 2 years later I still keep an eye on their results

Agree with the low rated career mode saves. Im doing a realistic MSV Duisburg save and I finally made it back to the Bundesliga with them 5 seasons in. It’s been so much more fun growing talent that’s already at the club with not very high potential

i always go for the lower leagues for career modes. The only top 5 league team I've ever used is Brighton, because for some reason, they always get relegated a few seasons into career modes
