16:50 Oxidation is when air starts to fuse with an element, like rusting iron. In the case of copper, it becomes a very pretty blue-green color

I find it funny how close Orcane is to Palafin, a water pokemon with really good stats that defends sea creatures. They also both have insanley high attack stats and learn wave crash.

I like the idea that “Copmaton” might have either used to be an electric type, or was supposed to be etc, but it’s copper wires oxidized and don’t conduct, hence why it’s pure steel but with electric qualities/moves

For Copmaton, it would've been a REALLY good idea to make like a "Pure Form" and a "Rusted Form" The Pure Form being faster and the Rusted Form being tankier.

Funny enough, to emphasize the Fairy type Magiraffe, in the tales of King Arthur specifically The Questing Beast. The Beast was described to have the body of a leopard, the head and neck of a serpent, and the thigh and tail of a lion. Which more than likely they saw a Giraffe.

@@poketrenerboberowy8130 exactly, its so pokemon can have moves with a certain mechanic whilst staying true to their design, or giving them a stronger stab move to balance out a typing, like psychic getting psychic fangs cause of its lack of physical moves

Skeledirge, Koraidon, Miraidon, the Paradox Pokémon I could go on but I don’t like talking to people who can’t understand the words I’m saying so don’t bother replying.

@@thepsycheduck ok there might be some cool ideas, but there are so many completely stupid Pokémon. Poisonous cars, a normal treasure with legs, a cream Pokémon and there are more. Those are ideas, but that shows, that they take normal things and build a Pokémon out of these. They could take an ice cream and …. Oh wait they already did it. Or maybe a gearwheel… oh, they did this too. There did keys, magnets, batteries, screw-nut, a pot and a cup and more.

Mikey kinda straight up nailed this, I really wonder if GameFreak just took some of his ideas and ran with them. Doomoose = Ting Lu Falscourge = Gimmighoul/Gholdengo Magiraf = Farigiraf Leopowd = Chien Pao (Dark instead of Fairy) Komoño = Capsakid and Scovillian with the grass/fire pepper vibes. Like it’s kinda crazy

No need to "really wonder". There were tons of leaks out there, which Mikey certainly saw and read about. Google "farigiraf leak", for example, and you can still find a tweet by Centro from July 11 with an actual picture of Farigiraf (and screenshots of other Paldea Pokémon or parts of them). That tweet came out three weeks after Mikey's video, but it's clear that all Paldea Pokémon were already finished when Mikey made his video.

I feel like Doomoose needs a mega evolution that adds dragon or flying type and is just a terrifying moose-dragon-pegasus type of creature. Great designs all-around.

The fact that some of these kind of reference actual Pokémon in scarlet and violet, the evolution has a cannon like armourouge. We also have the snow leopard legendary that he came up with with

For the first pokemon. You could've made the right hand bigger almost like it was inflated and the way you can weave it into the lore was by saying "This pokemon commonly catches fruits and berries falling out of trees with its larger hand and would use the smaller hand to throw said food to each other or other pokemon in need." And that this was a pack pokemon that was playful but competitive and humans got the idea of baseball by watching these pokemon.

He very much can think like that. He comes up with name puns in his nuzlockes and Let's Plays videos all the time. As an example, there was a fan game that had an ice/electric Ralts that he named Telsa, combination of Elsa from Frozen and Nikola Tesla.

I know it's been a year but I don't know if you found out: Oxidazation (I think I typed it correct) is term used for copper, when it changes color from well... copper to greenish-mint... like Liberty Statue

"Oxidation" is pretty much the fancy scientific way of saying "rust". Also, Arcane reminded me of a Brazilian legend: the pink boto (boto is a Brazilian type of dolphin). They say this dolphin transforms into a very handsome man, impregnates women (yes, make them pregnant), and then disappears lol

I like how symmetrical Prophesee’s face is in your drawing. If you dipped It upside down it would have a little sadface that would still make design sense. That brings so much personality to that little guy!

Dude, you did such a good job bringing these Pokémon to life. I was pretty resistant to a lot of Mikey's ideas, but because you did such a great job recreating them, I am absolutely impressed. I think you should get hired on as an official Pokémon artist for Game Freak.

It's more involved than this, but for the purposes of this particular art, oxidized copper is just the green stuff that appears on copper over time--it's essentially rust, but for copper instead of iron. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with electricity, just like rust; however, copper conducts electricity very well (though oxidized copper does not) so the electricity theme is acceptable, if a bit overdone.

Here are some of the things I noticed 15:27 Imagine that the horns of this pokemon were turned upside down, or its head could turn upside down so that the horns become the mandibles. Also, the red pattern reminded me of bark, and because of this, their legs could be covered in this black and red bark. 17:20 This Pokemon could actually have a backstory behind it. In older times exotic animals such as giraffes and zebras and stuff were considered magical. So a magical giraffe makes a lot of sense actually

Oxidization is when copper is exposed to oxygen for so long it turns green. That's why the statue of liberty is green.

You could totally do a regional version of Leopowd that's ice/ghost and instead of snow flake spots give it a sparkly, translucent veil around the paws and tail.... Kind of like the veil you see on a Ghastly

its more like mean, evil, misunderstood, and instinctive. thats what dark means. For instance, grimmsnarl is a dark fairy type because it's based on the brothers grimm fairy tails, which ultimately became the disney ones like snow white or cinderella. Cinderella as an example didn't really have anyone evil, just mean in the form of the stepmothers that cut off their heels to try and fit into the glass slipper in the original version

As for the fire type, of course Fuecoco is a pepper, but I feel he's going to be fire/ghost because well. He's a GHOST pepper. Also a starter having two of the starter types would make the trio a bit unbalanced if you ask me. I'm pretty confident we'll be getting water/fighting, grass/dark and fire/ghost, but MAN is a grass/fire pepper a great idea! I love both MandJtv's idea for it, and both his and your takes on the design as well! Also, oxidization is when copper turns green when exposed to oxygen, it has nothing to do with electricity in spite of copper being a very conductive metal.

@@Captainiampro well it could get water steel, steel resist grass meaning that it would not be weak to grass, but for spigitito it could a type supereffective against steel and everything’s okay

@@starfallcolors4491 I mean that's true, but then Quaxly wouldn't have super effective stab against Fuecoco, which sprigatito does for Quaxly, kind of messing up the starter stab trio. Even in Sinnoh where it was a warzone, every secondary type had an advantage against the next. They could do something with each type resisting another, but that could complicate things.

This is such a cool concept, Mikeys knowledge and logic to create fantastic concepts while you bring them to life! Please do more so much potential here. Also, thoughts feel free to throw in your thoughts as well. Would you think its cool of there was some sort of baby pokemon with two types example fairy/dark and depending on how they are trained or raised they split away from one type and have a fresh new one like Fairy/fighting or Dark/flying?! Yes, I know a little late but this video deserves the love!

I'm so happy the drawing content is making a reappearance again. I especially love these kinds of videos because it shows that creativity is not limited behind experience and/or skill. It reminds me of the collection of drawings of a professional artist drawing his kid son's character creations. EDIT: For a LONG time, since the video went up, I was wondering why Doomoose looked so weird to me, particularly the head. I kept thinking it looked bald despite the antlers. Then I realised it's because it has no ears.

Trainin should get a split stone evolution. Dusk stone for ghost fighting, moon stone for dark, sun for psychic, thunder for electric, dawn for flying, shiny for fairy, water, fire, etc

Foreseen beam: the attack stacks up to 3 times. When the opponent switches out or dies, the switches in Pokémon is hit that amount of times by the attack, and will move onto the next Pokémon if it kills. The ultimate set up move

Oxidization is what rust is except the term rust is iron specific (I think) and other metals turn other colors when they oxidize the Statue of Liberty was originally copper but it oxidized into that green color

I think it would be cool if it did the opposite effect of whatever the berry was. Does damage instead of heals, causes a status condition, or makes the Pokemon more weak to whatever type of attack
