That's what I'm currently learning. Cheating... isn't cheating. Like, making everything yourself is just a waste of time and makes the final product worse. I was making my own trees forever. A friend convinced me to just buy some trees. They look about the same quality... but I can get like ten variations that would have taken me... I don't even know how many hours to make.

As a 3d Artist i can tell how much work you have put into making that few seconds shots, great job is by no means easy to do all the steps involved in creating an scene like that and get al actually great result like the one you got, just by yourselft

This was absolutely amazing to watch and seriously makes me realize and appreciate just all the work the avatar team put in! The ending is hilarious btw, but one more aspect I think that was missed is the movement of the ears. That’s probably my favorite feature of the na’avi and the avatars so here it was very noticeable. This is still such an amazing project

If you don't already have your feet into the film making scene, you really deserve to! You are so talented! I could totally see you making films or series, whatever is your preference.

as many others have pointed out it looks more like a high end game cinematic than the film. I think this comes down to the quality of rendering the path tracing in unreal can get you compared to dedicated offline renders in addition to detailed and complex SSS and full PBR work ups of the characters. if you were to go crazy to get this closer you might be able to dial in the lighting a little more to make it a little closer but for what it is it's really nice.

Man, Unreal 5 looks so good. One of the things I heard about UE4 was 'it takes effort to make things look bad.' Glad to see someone with skill using this newest iteration on an incredible level.

I am totally impressed really! And i love and absolutely loved the fact that you didn't forgot to mention and acknowledge all other expensive elements such as muscle sim which were missing. This is something i dont see with many other creators. Truely a masterpiece work considering its all in unreal
