Out of all the ethnic instruments I play, I felt like sitar is one of the hardest! But once you get the hang of it, it’s truly a joy to play 😍

Indeed ! In spite of playing guitar for more than 4 yrs, playing sitar was quite tough.. but yeah.. just as u said, once we get the hang, it's one of the most soothing instruments to play... and btw.. congrats on learning a new instrument !!!!

The instrument sitar was made by amir khusro a Muslim poet in 18th century so this instrument is originally from south east Asia. Partion happened in 20 th century so it's not specifically an Indian instrument.
