Someone with a deep background of matching the color of the new with the existing makes these type of restorations really work. I, unfortunately, have a shallow background and as a result, am content with watching rather then making. Thanks for taking the plunge.

There’s nothing I don’t love about waterfall furniture and I, too, am glad to see that the beauty of the wood wasn’t covered with paint.

My mum had a dressing table like this when I was a kid. I always imagined myself sitting at it doing my hair and make-up, with my purse and gloves waiting nearby as I walked out of the room. Very elegant, thank you for bringing this one back to life, lovely work.

I found one of these in the ally by my house that a neighbor set out. No mirror and painted blue & white. Wish me luck, 🍀l hope to have it in my bedroom

Look about getting a veneering hammer to press down the veneer, or you can just take a piece of lumber, round over the end, and use that to press out the veneer. Nice work.

Loved your video, just subscribed and will watch the upcoming ones. Just one thing, and maybe it's just me but when you got to selecting the veneer and stain I couldn't hear your voice very well. It seems it got faint while the music got louder. Good luck with your new venture!

This is beautiful. I acquired 6 pieces that I want to redo. The veneer piece you had, did it just have adhesive backing or did you use cement? I want to make sure I do it right. Did you re stain the front of the drawers or just poly over them? Thanks for your help. 😊

Why would it be lead paint if it’s veneer? I tried to research this and came up empty.

The veneer is coated, who knows what went into the coating, so I test. It's cheap and easy.

I have one suggestion for you....just found you and my suggestion watch the volume on your videos. Music much too loud when you are talking. Can't hear you. While watching I have something else, why didn't you replace the drawer bottom ?

@@grittogold If I may, I'd suggest some gentle quiet musis with real instruments rather than synthetic. Your commentary is so good and delivered so well that you shouldn't have anything clashing with it. Sub'ed!
